Oliver was one of the top guards on the 3SSB circuit in July averaging 11.3 points per game for AE5. The Mount Vernon point guard has a very high basketball IQ, a great command of the basketball and changes speed well with the ball in his hand. He is a high level perimeter shooter, a creative finisher in the paint and plays with plenty of confidence.

Oliver is a highly skilled lead guard with an excellent command of the basketball. The rising sophomore has above average quickness and is a capable scorer at all three levels. He sees the floor well and is a capable distributor as well.

Oliver is small but he has big game, a sparkplug that can score in bunches with his outside shot. Jamaal is a dangerous shooter off the catch and a crafty finisher at the rim. He puts English on the ball when scoring against length from tough angles. Oliver is a heady passer, finding cutters while keeping his dribble alive.
