The Grassroots season provides an opportunity to evaluate a ton of players that will have a chance to contribute locally in the upcoming high school season. Try as we might there are going to be some players that I just didn't get to see enough. The 2023 Rankings are a different breed entirely, with the potential for a ton of shake-up. Here's a look at some players I need to see before the new rankings are released.

[player_tooltip player_id='856647' first='Keanan' last='Bey'] 6'5 SF Bishop Gorman (#5) - Bey is a player in the category for the top spot. He may be the most physically gifted athlete in the state. He's athletic, with long arms and good upper body strength. He's also one of the top defenders in the state. I've only had a chance to see a little of him, at camps this year.

[player_tooltip player_id='1053245' first='Jaquavis' last='Williford'] 6'6 SF Western - I haven't had the opportunity to see Williford at all this Summer. The wing is one of the most electric scorers in the state. A smooth shooting lefty, Williford has terrific positional size, and scores from a variety of levels. I need to see more of him to accurately project his college level.

[player_tooltip player_id='985630' first='Nakalya' last='Fabello'] 5'10 PG Valley - Haven't had a chance to see Fabello at all during the grassroots season. That's too bad because he is one of my favorite players to watch. A highly skilled floor general, Fabello could be poised for a huge season for the Vikings. For small colleges looking for solid PGs Fabello seems like a no-brainer.

[player_tooltip player_id='940476' first='Ethan' last='Goon'] 6'6 PF Bishop Manogue - Really disappointed that I haven't had the opportunity to watch Goon this summer. A high academic, highly skilled 4 man, Goon could be the perfect fit for several schools.

[player_tooltip player_id='940472' first='David' last='Poole'] 5'10 PG Valley - Poole is a player that has been on my radar for some time. He saw minutes as a freshman and contributed last season on a good Vikings team. I'm most excited to see him and Fabello together in the backcourt. I will be even more excited to catch him in action over the course of the next few months.

[player_tooltip player_id='940475' first='Elijah' last='Burney'] 6'1 PG Centennial - Burney is another player that I've watched for some time, however, I haven't seen him during the Spring or Summer. The PG is a gamer, known for making big shots. He has a good skill set, including a solid handle and shooting ability. Really want to evaluate his ability to be a small school floor general.
