Intro: Jaxson Dian (2019)
Lemont 2019 6’0” shooting guard Jaxson Dian can really shoot the basketball. He is lights out from beyond three. He has a clean perimeter stroke especially off the catch. Quick release and consistent accuracy. Solid wing passer that can handle it at times, but his perimeter shooting is by far his strength.
Dian emerged on our radar at the PrepHoopsIllinois Stock Up Showcase.
“It was great. The competition was great. My team was sharing the ball and we all shot the ball. Played tough defense.”
He spoke about the strengths in his game.
“Shooting the basketball obviously. My ball handling and ability to find other players facilitating. Defense and helping on that end.”
Dian discussed his sophomore season at Lemont.
“We were good. We had PJ Pipes. We had a little issue with him, but after that we started to get rolling. Unfortunately it ended with Bolingbrook.”
The sophomore is already looking forward to next season.
“That will be fun. I think we are going to have a good team with me, Paul (O’Leary), Nate Ferguson, and more.”
He is running with the Illinois Stars this spring. He is excited to experience the grassroots scene.
“Traveling around. It is my first year going and traveling. Playing with new guys. We are already a family even though we have only been together for a month.”
