‘s game looked built for the next level, his ability to change gears and ramp up his athleticism proved to be a clear separator. When Price shifted speeds and attacked downhill, he became nearly impossible to contain off the dribble, consistently collapsing the defense and generating countless layups and trips to the free throw line.

got downhill with ease, using high pick-ups and instinctive footwork to counter help defenders and finish over shot blockers at the rim. He stayed locked in on the basket throughout his drives, unfazed by traffic or contact. Defensively, Nasr Price consistently attacked passing lanes, jumping passes both high and low with his length and motor.

2026 Guard and UTSA commit Nasir Price scored 25 pts in a win against top ranked team Atascocita High School. Nasir’s scoring ability was on full display as he capitalized on hitting open shots from the three-point line while also scoring by going downhill driving aggressively to the basket. On the offensive glass Nasir was able to contribute to that stat category automatically going up after those opportunities with put backs. Throughout the game Nasir was very efficient and got plenty of trips to the free throw line. I was impressed with Nasir’s performance against one of the best teams in the state!

was a dangerous jump shooter off the dribble, handoff, and pick. His quick and convincing pump fake created separation from defenders by getting them off the ground or leaning, opening up driving lanes for Price to attack the basket, set up his stepback, or another move. On most occasions, Price could get his own shot in 2 or 3 dribbles. Price’s ability to mix up offensive moves kept defenders guessing; if they overcommitted to defending the stepback, he could use his explosive first step to blow by. Beyond being a scorer, Price showcased his motor, use of hands and length, and a desire to be a shutdown defender. He stuffed jump shots, played passing lanes, and forced his man out of plays, making him a well-rounded contributor on both ends of the court.

Nasir was his usual dominant self in Seven Lakes district home game against rival Katy. Price showed the ability to finish over the defender with several easy floaters/layups at the basket, as well as knocking down shots from midrange with ease. Nasir possesses exceptional lateral quickness on the defensive end, allowing him to notch several steals in route to easy transition buckets. He is a great leader on offense always knowing where his teammates are and makes it look easy whether he is playmaking or scoring the rock, even against the most physical of matchups. Price is already one of the highest rated prospects in Texas in the class of 2026 and continues to impress in key matchups, getting the Spartans some key wins this season.

was incredibly effective playing off the ball, he stayed on the perimeter floating around waiting for kick outs particularly after offensive rebounds. Price proved to be somebody that cannot be left opened, he drilled every open catch-and-shoot jumper that came his way. With the ball in hand, he displayed a knack for quickly spotting angles while being defended tightly. He instincts and counter attack dribbles allowed Price to get inside at will, although he wasn’t able to convert his attempts inside at a high rate the scoring capability and finishing potential were all there. On the defensive side of the ball, Nasir picked up his man the full length of the court maintaining tight space and not allowing the opposing guard to set their offense cleanly or comfortably. Ideal physical tools for the wiry 6-foot-3-inch freshman from his long reach to his quick leaping ability, Price utilized his long wingspan to contest, tip, and get a hand on shots while defending on the ball. His energy was amazing as well, showing a true passion for the game, and playing with a will to win, doing whatever it took including taking charges underneath the basket.

is likely the most special prospect with the highest ceiling of his class, especially in the state of Texas. The 6-foot-3 combo guard is a proven highly skilled playmaker and talented bucket getter with an impeccable feel for the game. As a ball-handler Price is extremely smooth and confident and he doesn’t waste a single dribble. His full court speed with the rock seems unstoppable at times, Price is the type of player that can get to the basket at will due to his insane talent for changing pace and changing directions combined with an explosive ability to kick it into high gear. Elite footwork, body control, and use of his length on the drive including a tremendous layup package, any time this kid is in the lane there’s a high chance he’s going to score. Nasir has a handful of ways that he can finish through traffic and around rim protectors in a crafty manner with inside hand reverse layups, up-and-unders, and one-foot runners where he shows a great touch, Price even has the wherewithal to utilize his body angles to shield the ball from getting swiped. In the mid-range, Price does an amazing job of stopping and starting on a dime and also elevating into his jumpshot when the defense least expects it. His knack for freezing his defenders with hesitation combos often leads Nasir into a clean look and a good shot. Remarkable court vision, Price puts a mean zip on his passes with precision and knows how to hit his cutters and bigs the moment they are open and even with lead passes on the fast break. Currently, Price holds offers from TCU and the University of Tulsa with many more on the way.
