Grassroots Preview : Manning Gators (Unsigned Seniors)
PrepHoops takes a closer look at the Manning Gators. The Gators will look to play just in the
April period as a group of UNSIGNED SENIORS.
Davonte Pack (2017) – Lakewood (pictured on front)
Pack 6’2 point guard has a good feel for the game. Pack really likes to use the bounce pass which is
a lost art these days. Pack averaged 10.5 ppg and 4.3 rebounds this season. Benedict (SC), Voorhees and
Cowley College (KS) have shown interest in Pack this spring. Pack is ranked #71 in the Prep Hoops Top 125.
Trevion Webber (2017) – Crestwood (Dalzell)
Webber 5’10 a left-handed point guard played with Murray State signee Temetrius Morant. Webber is
not afraid to pull-up from long distance. Webber has a quick shot release and averaged 14 ppg this
season for the Knights. Webber is ranked #72 in the Prep Hoops Top 125.
Malik Cokley (2017) – Laurence Manning Academy (Manning)
Cokley a left-handed guard really excels in a up-tempo style of play. Cokley has the ability to slash to
the basket or hit the mid-range jumper. Cokley averaged 9.6 ppg and 3.7 assists this season for
the Swampcats. Cokley will need to entertain junior college options.
Ahmad Peoples (2017) – Sumter
Peoples 6’3 is a left-handed wing player. Peoples can knockdown the the 3 pointer and create his
own shot. Peoples can really defend on the ball. Peoples played on a very talented Fighting
Gamecocks team.
Jalen White #3
Jalen White (2017) – Manning
White is a intriguing prospect that many schools really don’t know about. White a QB on the football
field started his career at Lakewood before coming over to Manning as a junior. White 6’1 really
doesn’t have a true position on the floor. White has a bit of a old school game when he throws his body
around in the paint and loves to draw contact with a head-fake move. White averaged 13.5 ppg this
season for the Monarchs. White is a junk yard dog on the floor. White was (58-108) 1048 passing yards and
had 77 carries – 487 yards. White will need to entertain junior college options.
Dontrea Osborne
Dontrea Osborne (2017) – Lakewood
Osborne 6’1 point guard excels in the classroom with a 3.3 GPA. Osborne can penetrate the gaps and finds
the open man. Osborne is not afraid to take a charge on the defensive end. Osborne averaged 11.1 ppg and
4.3 assists this season for the Gators. Osborne is ranked #81 in the Prep Hoops Top 125.
Malik Wilson
Malik Wilson (2017) – Lakewood
Wilson 6’3 has improved on his perimeter game this season. Wilson has a great motor that always seems
to be running. Wilson a very coachable kid will draw contact playing on the wing and rebounds the
ball well on both ends. Wilson will visit South Georgia Tech tomorrow 4/6. Wilson averaged 11.7 ppg
and 5 rebounds this year. Wilson is ranked #124 in the Prep Hoops Top 125.
Jalil Robinson (2017) – Laurence Manning Academy (Manning)
Robinson 6’2 has good length and uses a set shot from the perimeter.
Saquel Pepper (2017) – Orangeburg-Wilkinson
Pepper 6’0 combo guard has a slow shot release and really takes pride in defending the ball. Pepper
a high flyer is out to play every possession like its his last.
