<p>Hoggard HS Sophomore<strong> CJ Kornegay</strong> has some potential to be solid if he continues to work and progress. Already standing at 6’4 with some athletic ability, he has some of the physical tools that makes him a player that catches your attention. </p>
<p>Laney HS Freshman <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1411214" first="Quin’sier" last="Waddell"]</strong> is a player that you will definitely want to keep an eye on over the next few months as he begins his varsity career. This summer is his first opportunity at varsity action and the potential he has to be special is very clear. He breaks down defenders, scores the ball at a nice rate and plays the game with an intensity and confidence that you don’t normally see from young players. </p>
<p>Swansboro Sophomore <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1361282" first="Jermaine" last="Cunningham"]</strong> was one of the better two-way players that we saw over the weekend. He takes pride in taking on the challenge of guarding the best opposing team player but also does a nice job of providing a good amount of offense for his team when called upon. He has all the tools to be a special prospect and will be one to keep an eye on. </p>
<p>Kinston HS Freshman <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1411223" first="Tyreek" last="Copper"]</strong> is a young talent that is already showing that he has the ability to compete on the varsity level. He’s advanced with his ability to break down defenders off the dribble, didn’t force too many shots and was pretty solid on the defensive side of the ball. </p>
<p>New Hanover Sophomore <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1220122" first="Rodmik" last="Allen"]</strong> is in the mix as one of the top guards in the state for 2025 and the impact he makes on both ends of the floor for his team is easy to see. Offensively he can run the show by getting his teammates involved but can fill it up scoring wise when his team needs it. On the defensive side of the ball, he brings some grit and toughness to go along with his impressive lateral quickness that makes things difficult for the opposition. </p>
