He uses his athleticism to make plays above the rim on both ends of the floor and is a hard play to contain when he has a full head of steam going downhill. He already has picked up some college interest which can turn into offers if he stays consistent over the next few months.
East Carteret Guard Charles Matheka Charles Matheka 5'11" | SG East Carteret | 2024 State NC made some nice plays for his squad and is a player that looks like he still may be growing physically. He does a nice job of using shot fakes to get his defender off the ground so that he can score with ease. One of his best traits is his passing ability, time and time again he found teammates and converted some difficult passes.
Swansboro HS Guard Isaiah Bromelle Isaiah Bromelle 5'9" | CG Swansboro | 2023 State NC found his rhythm in the playoffs, catching fire from three-point land early on making plays throughout. He’s a good ballhandler but doesn’t over-dribble too often and finished well against taller opponents.
Living Water Christian Forward Bo Koebbe Bo Koebbe 6'6" | SF Living Water Christian | 2024 State NC put together some good production, stepped up big time scoring wise which was needed due to the team’s leading scorer being out with injury. He got to his spots, scored from multiple levels, played through contact and scored well below the rim consistently.
Jacksonville HS Guard Amaree Barber Amaree Barber 6'0" | CG Jacksonville | 2024 State NC is continuing to progress overall as a player and as a leader for the Cardinals, scoring and facilitating at a high level. He has impressive speed/quickness, can score the ball in various ways and can be just as good on defense as he is on the offensive side.
Swansboro HS Ben Sherman has impressive athletic ability and finds various ways to make a positive impact on games. Playing the passing lanes, blocking/contesting shots and using his athleticism to score in traffic are all things you will see from him.
