Things got ugly in a hurry for Blue Ridge School as Moravian Prep jumped out to a 14-0 run led by 8 straight pts from [player_tooltip player_id="1029969" first="Eli" last="Ellis"]. It was 29-9 w/ 5:32 remaining before Blue Ridge School could call a timeout to stop the bleeding.

[player_tooltip player_id="1029969" first="Eli" last="Ellis"] kept applying pressure though with his pestering defense and lethal 3-point shot and create-ability in the pick-and-roll game and by halftime, Moravian Prep led 42-20.

MP shared the sugar in the 2nd half as [player_tooltip player_id="1259628" first="Abu" last="Yarmah"], [player_tooltip player_id="1488800" first="Blake" last="Barkley"], Isaac Ellis and Conner Mohr showed off what they could do. Mohr was efficient from the perimeter while Thomas and Yarmah showed off their versatility as mobile forwards that could also shoot the 3-ball with opportunities.

[player_tooltip player_id="1120963" first="Anthony" last="Breland"] was another new face with this group that showed he could run the show as the floor general and knock down shots when needed.

Barkley was a lengthy forward that did work in the paint. He had some nice finishes around the rim to around out their frountcourt. Yarmah had a knack for chasing down blocks and loose balls while holding his own on the interior.

[player_tooltip player_id="1029969" first="Eli" last="Ellis"] finished with 39 points to lead all scorers as MP cruised to a victory in their first game of the day 85-41.

Moravian Prep squared off against St. Anne’s Bellfield (STAB) in the final game on Court 1 as 3-pointers from [player_tooltip player_id="577830" first="Graham" last="Worland"] and Conner Mohr got the scoring going for them. [player_tooltip player_id="1259624" first="Chance" last="Mallory"] kept STAB in it though as he scored 9 pts early to give them a 14-12 lead w/ 11:10 left in the 1st half.

Mallory knocked down another 3-pointer (his 3rd of the game) to put them up 17-12 on the ensuing possession. His fourth 3-pointer came a few possessions later as he vaulted STAB to a 20-15 lead with 15 pts of his own. 3-pointer No. 5 from Mallory pushed the lead to 25-16.

Moravian Prep looked out of sorts still as STAB pushed the lead to 31-17 with 6:37 left in the 1st half. Back-to-back buckets from MP brought the lead within single digits at 31-22 w/ 5:34 left in the 1st half. 2025 [player_tooltip player_id="1340929" first="Austin" last="Williford"] caught fire for STAB as he made three 3-pointers and pushed their lead to 37-22.

STAB led Moravian Prep 44-24 at the half.

Williford stayed hot as he knocked his fourth 3-pointer to get the scoring going as they kept applying pressure and kept their lead at 20 at 49-29. As Williford went, so did [player_tooltip player_id="999617" first="Carter" last="Lang"] who found his groove down low as the second half wore on and he made his presence felt on both ends.

STAB would go on to take a 90-65 victory in the end.

[player_tooltip player_id="1340929" first="Austin" last="Williford"]: 5 3s, 18 pts
[player_tooltip player_id="1259624" first="Chance" last="Mallory"]: 6 3s, 21 pts
[player_tooltip player_id="999617" first="Carter" last="Lang"]: 18 pts
