Corey and his squad were able to get a spot in the championship game against Denton Guyer at the Berry Center. He started the game with an impressive dribble pull-up jumper, which striked his hot hand. Corey soared for 15 first-half points, scoring from behind the arc and in the paint — making hard bangouts on the rim. In the second half, Corey was double teamed and triple teamed, yet he used his high-level IQ of the game by finding his open teammates. An aspect of Hadnot’s game that has been very interesting to watch is his calm demeanor. During game-play, Corey shows little to no emotion, just playing hard with his teammates — something that is very special. Being the heart and sole of the Cypress Creek varsity basketball team’s success, Hadnot will use his experience and knowledge of the game to have a deep run in playoffs.
