About Corey

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My main skills are my playmaking and transition offense as well my shooting which has highly improved from last year. My defense is solid. I play both right and left sides of the court. I play both sides of the court. I can play any style of ball.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a very laid back and for the most part, quiet person. I laugh a lot. However, I am driven, focused and have the ability to take charge when necessary. I am a by any means necessary type of person, which means that I am goal oriented and whatever it takes for me to reach the goal that I set, I do just that. I have a we over me mentality when it comes to the game of basketball.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am a volunteer and member of my church. I volunteer and help at Children’s Church.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve developed my skill of networking and being resourceful to help myself and others. I’ve also gained a greater capacity of empathy and understanding of others and their backgrounds.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

My greatest challenge has been how others view my size as a player. My size has nothing to do with my ability. I am 6 feet tall & 152 pounds. I bench press 170 and squat 290. I am strong and solid. My vertical is 35.6 inches. I am very athletic as well. My size is deceiving.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking to play D1, D2, D3 or NAIA level basketball.
