Ronnie showed his athletic style of play on Sunday. He has good length for a guard and can get himself shots inside and out. He also earned a few trips to the line, with his attacking of the rim. Lots of potential for a big jump in the years coming. He averaged around 20 points per game this season for Foster. He will be a big time scoring threat in his senior season next year.

Every time I’ve seen Toms, he’s stuffing the stat sheet and doing all the little things his team needs, filling the gaps between big plays with high-energy, smart plays. That was with his AAU team. Now, seeing him with his high school team for the first time I witnessed an offensive side to Toms’ game that blew me away. He is Foster’s top playmaker, scorer, and was creating most of their opportunities against North Thurston. Hitting tear drops in the lane, breaking down defenders with his dribble, and finding ways to draw contact inside, Toms grinded his way to 15 points. Later in the week, he dropped a cool 28 points against Kingston. He is a smart player with a big motor and could start rising the ranks with more performances like these.

As a sophomore, Toms was a first-team all-league selection and 2A KingCo Defensive Player of the year. He’s a game-changer on defense, applying an excellent work ethic and good instincts to his craft. He’s a well-rounded threat offensively, showing an above-average stroke from long-range and the grit to make plays inside, while also playing with an unselfish attitude. His skillset fits well on any team and could be a real diamond in the rough for whoever recruits him.
