Recruiting Report: Logan Curtis (2019)
Calvert Hall has a long list of players who have went on to play at the collegiate and professional levels, and although this season their record of 12-18 would indicate a down year to their standards, you have to take into consideration that they are playing in one of the top conferences in the country, the MIAA A Conference.
This year’s roster consisted of two seniors, seven juniors, two sophomores, and two freshman. The youth should mean for a strong showing for the near future, especially next season. One particular sophomore had significant impact on their success this season. Logan Curtis is regarded as one of the top underclassmen in the city of Baltimore, and it’s safe to say as his development continues, his stock will rise quickly.
Curtis averaged 15 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game for the Cardinals. He recorded multiple games with 25 or more points. His ability to shoot it from outside was on display all season, but came into fruition when he hit five three’s against Episcopal.
Curtis told PrepHoops Rutgers, Louisiana Tech, Washington, UConn, and UAB are showing consistent interest.
The 6-3 guard also said that he was named as an All-Baltimore Catholic Team Honorable Mention, which is impressive considering the talent that is around the conference. This summer Curtis will be playing for Team BBC in the Adidas Nation Circuit with the 16U team.
Curtis knows his offensive game is his biggest strength, so this summer he wants to focus on becoming more of a lockdown defender. He’ll have plenty of chances playing on such a competitive AAU Circuit.
His leadership on and off the floor is something that continues to stick out as well, and his 3.4 GPA can help back that up.
Curtis plans to add his name onto the list of players that move on from Calvert Hall to play high-level Division 1 basketball. As both his body and game develop within the next to years, those aspirations will likely become reality.
