Carnegie is a fast-paced downhill guard who likes to use different speeds to put pressure on defenses. His playmaking skills are excellent as he can thread the needle in some tight spaces to cutting teammates to the rim. Carnegie never lets the team stay stagnant on offense making sure the ball movement stays within the flow of the offense. He uses his tight handles and speed to get around screens that free him up for the jump shot.

Carnegie can play at many different paces and will switch it up a lot of the time to confuse defenses. He controls the offense and looks to get good ball movement early to open up cutting lanes for his teammates. He plays off of screens well and will take the midrange jumper if the roller or popper is not open. He always hits his teammates in the chest giving them the best chance to fully set up their shot.
