Mauro is a crafty guard and plays with a lot of toughness within his game. He can run the offense as well as anyone but he works even better without the ball. He knows exactly when to cut to get open shots. Mauro will come off of off-ball screens for open shots at the three-point line. He has great instincts and timing on defense on when to poke the ball free leading to many steals and fastbreak opportunities for his team.

Mauro has a natural ability already to play the point guard position. Even though he can be considered a scoring guard I truly believe that his playmaking skills will catch up to that scoring ability rather quickly the more opportunities he gets at point guard. He has great floor awareness and vision also. Mauro will always look to exploit mismatches or double teams being sent at him in which he will make the correct pass to the open man.
