PrepHoopsIllinois 4th Team All-State
PrepHoopsIllinois is unveiling our All-State Teams for the 2016-2017 season. These are based on play during the regular season. Here is PrepHoopsIllinois 4th Team All-State!
PG Tai Bibbs (West Chicago)
Bibbs is among the better point guards remaining in the state of Illinois. He is a smooth lead guard that is projectable toward the next level. Bibbs posted big scoring out puts throughout the season for West Chicago. On the travel team circuit he is more of a distributor, but his high school team needs him to score and he did that at a high level as a senior.
SG Justin Fox (Dwight)
Fox was an under the radar prospect coming into the season as he played on Mercury Elite’s second team on the circuit, but when we watched him he could really score. Fox has done just that throughout the high school season. The versatile scoring wing has dropped huge games from the beginning of the year to the end.
PG Alonzo Verge (Thornton)
Verge transferred back to Chicago after a year at a Florida prep school. The explosive point guard is electric with the ball in his hands. Playmaker that uses his speed and vision to make highlight plays.
SG Tim Finke (Champaign Central)
Finke was great throughout the entire season. We saw him go for 30+ points in person on multiple occasions. He is a wing with quality size and the ability to light it up from the perimeter. Clean jump shot and has the athleticism to play above the rim. High IQ player that makes winning plays.
SF Talen Horton-Tucker (Simeon)
THT is among the best prospects in the junior class. He stepped forward as the go to scorer in many games for the Wolverines. The junior small forward was very aggressive looking to get his points. Big bodied wing that has some shake off the bounce. Attacks well downhill and has a high skill level. Primed for big spring after elevating his game as a junior.
