Prospect Spotlight: Charlie Hoehne (2019)
Late in the season OPRF 2019 power forward Charlie Hoehne really impressed us. Hoehne is a 6’6” four man that plays well on the interior. He has soft hands receiving the basketball and a good touch around the hoop. Understands how to seal his man off in the post and position his body to where he can score. Flashes a good shooting stroke from both mid-range and the free throw line. The most impressive part is his ability to attack off the bounce from the mid-range area. Can take his opposing post off the bounce a couple dribbles especially on the baseline and finish with good body control at the rim. Crashes the offensive glass for put backs and competes on the defensive end with his length. Look forward to monitoring this sophomore during the spring!
Hoehne talked about his season.
“We got 20 wins this year which was a big milestone. At the beginning of the season I doubted myself, but at the end of the season I have finished strong. I am getting more aggressive. My shot has really improved. It is just hard work.”
How would he describe his game?
“I am more of a slasher, but I am working getting my shot. I am a pretty athletic 6’6” forward.”
He will run with Made Men 16U this spring on the circuit.
“I am looking forward to traveling around and showing people about us and proving ourselves.”
He doesn’t have anything going on with recruiting at this stage.
