Recruiting Report: Kenny Strawbridge (2018)
Rockford Lutheran 2018 combo guard Kenny Strawbridge is a catch and shoot threat from the perimeter. He is best spotting up for three on the wings and in the corners. Strong with the ball in transition. Solid athlete that we will be monitoring closely this spring with the Illinois Wolves. D1 potential in a player that still has room to grow in his game.
We spoke with Strawbridge about his junior campaign.
“Well this season I feel like I’ve been playing well on defense. I’ve been working hard to lock down and defend on the defensive end. On offense I’ve been more consistent with my shot making coming off screens and off the dribble. I play point guard for my school team and I have been better with handling the ball with a lot of pressure defense.”
He told us what the best parts of his game are at this stage.
“My strengths are my shooting ability and my IQ to make the pass.”
Strawbridge is excited for the upcoming spring grassroots season.
“Competing on a high level with a lot of the best guards across the country.”
What is going on with recruiting?
“I only have one offer from Northern Illinois, but Bradley, DePaul, North Dakota State, and Colorado are all interested in me.”
He took a visit to Bradley back in November.
