Broken Bow’s season has come to an end in the regional round of the playoffs but senior guard Kieler Young Kieler Young 6'2" | CG Broken Bow | 2023 State OK went out with a bang this season. Young was one of the top scorers in the state a year ago and that remained the case this year as he would make 30+ and even 40+ point outings a regular thing this season. Young is a smaller guard but you can’t deny his scoring ability and especially this season when all of Broken Bow’s opponents knew that he was capable of filling up the stat sheet. He was still able to score at will many times throughout this season. We’re interested to see where Young winds up when it comes to the next level and how that pure shooting ability will help him with his college career. He’s a guy who has proven he can fill it up and deserves a shot to do it at the next level.

Broken Bow would knock off Madill 44-31 to capture the tournament championship in Atoka on Saturday night. Leading the way and walking away with MVP honors once again was their senior star guard Kieler Young Kieler Young 6'2" | CG Broken Bow | 2023 State OK . The Broken Bow standout scored at least 30 points in all three games as they would walk away with a tournament championship. Young was a sharpshooter from beyond the arc and he was incredibly efficient as well. He finished the tournament going 12-26 from three-point range. Young is one of the more underrated prospects in the state’s 2023 class. This kid has been lighting up the scoreboard from the very first few games of the season and he hasn’t stopped throughout the year. If you’re looking for a hidden gem that can fill it up from just about anywhere on the floor, Young is your guy.

I think that it’s safe to say that Broken Bow senior guard Kieler Young Kieler Young 6'2" | CG Broken Bow | 2023 State OK had the best week last week. Broken Bow opened their season on Friday night with a win over DeQueen, Arkansas with a 75-41 win. Young would score 48 points and also grabbed 12 rebounds in the Friday win. The next day, Broken Bow also beat Hugo 77-74. Young would finish with 45 points and 13 rebounds one day after going for nearly 50 in the season opener. Young averaged 20+ points per game as a junior last year. Young is very clearly one of the best scorers in the state and he puts that scoring on display this week against McAlester on Tuesday and Pocola on Friday.
