The double-double.

It can be a grind or naturally easy for some players. Either way, these are some of the best in South Florida.

Let’s have a look...

[player_tooltip player_id="1301714" first="Cameron" last="Boozer"] - Columbus

2025 [player_tooltip player_id="1301714" first="Cameron" last="Boozer"] is going to be on a lot of lists. The 6-foot-8 forward is averaging 19.4 points and 12.4 rebounds per game. Miami Columbus has played 12 games and Boozer has 12 double-doubles. Statistically, he has the second most in the state. For perspective, the guy in front of him has played 14 more games with just two more double-doubles. Incredible. Miami Columbus might be the best team in South Florida, along with Calvary Christian Academy.

[player_tooltip player_id="1306091" first="Jeremy" last="Elyzee"] - Flanagan

2024 [player_tooltip player_id="1306091" first="Jeremy" last="Elyzee"] is a kid that deserves more attention. The 6-foot-9 forward is averaging 13.6 points and 13.3 rebounds per game. Elyzee has 12 double-doubles in 15 games. Against Pembroke Pines Charter, he scored 15 points and grabbed 12 rebounds. The Jaguars are one of the top teams in the state and won the 5A state title last season. Elyzee currently ranks third in Florida with that mark.

[player_tooltip player_id="1316851" first="Kemani" last="Wilson"] - Flanagan

2022 [player_tooltip player_id="1316851" first="Kemani" last="Wilson"] can really score from any level. The 6-foot-7 wing is averaging 13.4 points and 9.6 rebounds per game. Wilson has ten double-doubles. As a junior, Wilson averaged 12.1 points and 11.7 rebounds. Therefore, he has been dominant as a scorer and rebounder for quite some time. Recently, I watched him score 24 points and grab ten rebounds with four 3-pointers against Fort Lauderdale. Wilson was stepping back, creating separation, and hitting jumpers with regularity.

Jerome Wallace - Miami Killian

2022 Jerome Wallace is a massive dude for Miami Killian. The 6-foot-6, 265-pound tank is averaging 14.7 points and 12.9 rebounds per game. Wallace has eight recorded double-doubles. Overall, a tough kid to move off the block or stop from finishing near the basket. Also a tackle on the football field.

[player_tooltip player_id="1055707" first="Ian" last="Smikle"] - Suncoast

I’m really excited to see Smikle’s development. The 6-foot-8 forward is averaging 15.2 points and 12.6 rebounds per game. Smikle has eight double-doubles in nine games. The one game he didn’t, Smike had 20 points and eight boards. Against Jupiter, Smikle had 15 points and 17 rebounds. Only a sophomore.

[player_tooltip player_id="829402" first="Houston" last="Culpepper"] - Stranahan

2022 [player_tooltip player_id="829402" first="Houston" last="Culpepper"] is a powerhouse for 10-1 Stranahan. The 6-foot-4, 225-pound machine is averaging 12.8 points and 9.8 rebounds per game. Culpepper’s toughness is shown on the offensive glass with 41 offensive boards. Culpepper has four or more in eight of nine recorded games. Overall, he has essentially doubled his averages in scoring and rebounding from his junior season. I think Culpepper gives Stranahan a huge edge in the frontcourt, especially when games get tight in the fourth quarter. You want him in those win or go home situations.

For any South Florida Prep Hoops news or information...please contact Michael Costeines @Steins_23 on Instagram or follow him on Twitter @Mungertown_Mike23.
