<p>Below is a preview of five games we are looking forward to watching the week of December 12th.</p>
<p><strong>Tue., Dec. 14th…Germantown Academy at Friends Central: </strong>This highly anticipated Inter-Ac vs. Friends School League crossover game will feature a host of college prospects. GA’s roster boasts the elite backcourt tandem of [player_tooltip player_id="991323" first="Jake" last="Hsu"] and [player_tooltip player_id="991208" first="Casey" last="Traina"] as well as wing player Blake Smith. This Friends Central squad is led by forward [player_tooltip player_id="1122142" first="Collin" last="Bowman"] (already holds a few DI offers), point guard wizard [player_tooltip player_id="1173986" first="Fazl" last="Oshodi"] (2024) and knock down 3-point shooter [player_tooltip player_id="1192647" first="Reid" last="Belcher"] (2024).</p>
<p><strong>Tue., Dec. 14th…LaSalle CHS at SCHA: </strong>An early Christmas gift for all of us hoop heads. This contest will display the talents of numerous prospects who will play at the next level. Of special interest will be the battle between high level wings [player_tooltip player_id="1200800" first="Horace" last="Simmons"] (LaSalle) and [player_tooltip player_id="1188210" first="Alassane" last="Amadou"] (SCHA). Both are premier scoring threats who will play major DI basketball. Be sure to keep an eye on LaSalle’s sharpshooter Nix Varano and [player_tooltip player_id="991391" first="Sam" last="Brown"] (Rutgers football commit) too. SCHA’s roster is loaded with perimeter prospects like high level point man Darius Isaac as well as talented scoring guards [player_tooltip player_id="1200762" first="Camden" last="Burns"] and [player_tooltip player_id="1123911" first="Ron" last="Brown III"].</p>
<p><strong>Thurs., Dec. 16th…Downingtown West at Coatesville: </strong>The dynamic duo of senior point guard [player_tooltip player_id="1116019" first="Dylan" last="Blair"] (1st Team All Ches-Mont League and 1st Team All-Area selection) and junior “stretch-4” [player_tooltip player_id="1279644" first="Jake" last="Warren"] (6’10”) travel southwest to Coatesville, in a matchup of two teams that should compete for the Ches-Mont League title this season. Blair and Warren are serious candidates for POY honors. Coatesville senior shooting guard [player_tooltip player_id="1119107" first="Jaeden" last="Brickus"] is too. With his pure mechanics and quick trigger, Brickus (2020-21 HM All-Area selection) can hit shots from well behind the arc at a high rate. He posted a monster summer on the grassroots circuit while playing for We R1.</p>
<p><strong>Fri., Dec. 17th…Central at Archbishop Carroll: </strong>It will be Philly Public League vs. Philly Catholic League when Central travels out to the suburbs for this contest. Carroll superstar guard [player_tooltip player_id="991425" first="Moses" last="Hipps"] is off to a white hot start this season (games of 27 & 21 points already). His running mates [player_tooltip player_id="991335" first="Dean" last="Coleman-Newsome"], [player_tooltip player_id="1136565" first="Jake" last="West"] and Blake Deegan are intriguing college prospects too. Central’s lineup features junior point guard Sizwe Morris-Louis (14.5 ppg.) who is a prospect on the rise.</p>
<p><strong>Sat., Dec. 18th…Radnor at Holy Ghost Prep:</strong> HGP (won 13 games & advanced to District 1 quarterfinals in 2020-21) has a trio of players with the potential to play at the next level. Leading the way is senior shooting guard Shane Reilly (42% on 3PAs in 2020-21). The 6’3” Reilly will get support from 2023 combo guard Seamus McDermott (HG Academic Elite Camp All-Star) and 6’6” Mel Lindsay (2023). Radnor’s renowned Class of 2023 has four college prospects in it. Headlining that ‘23 group is shooting guard extraordinaire [player_tooltip player_id="1119137" first="Jackson" last="Hicke"] (21 points in season opener) and coach on the floor style point guard [player_tooltip player_id="1200819" first="Danny" last="Rosenblum"].
