Nebraska high school basketball is just around the corner as we are just under 2 weeks away from tip off. Down below are a few players that should be on college coaches radar as I believe these players will have an huge impact for their school this upcoming season. A lot of these players below have received an handful of offers and counting and will lead their high school as captains.
David Harmon David Harmon 6'3" | CG Millard North | 2022 State NE | Millard North | 6’3 Wing – David Harmon David Harmon 6'3" | CG Millard North | 2022 State NE is an up and coming senior that will have the spot light on him outside out Creighton signee Jasen Green Jasen Green 6'7" | PF Millard North | 2022 State #153 Nation NE . He will have huge minutes for the defending state champs. Last year, he was on the Millard North team that consisted of Hunter Sallis (Gonzaga), Jadin Johnson (Old Dominion), Saint Thomas (Loyola-Chicago), and Tyler Sandoval (Midland). During fall league last month, David was able to showcase his skills and how he will be able to help lead the Mustangs to a possible back-to-back state title.
Chandler Meeks Chandler Meeks 6'1" | CG Omaha Westside | 2022 State NE | Omaha Westside | 6’1 Guard – Meeks has been on the Warriors varsity team since his freshman year. He currently holds an offer from Augustana University and has been in communication with a few division 1 schools. Last season Meeks averaged 12.5 points 5.2 rebounds, 3.5 assist, and 1.4 steals per-game. Omaha Westside will be ranked in the top 5 in Class-A when the rankings comes out soon. Meeks will be on every schools scouting report.
Reggie Thomas Reggie Thomas 6'0" | SG Omaha Westside | 2022 State NE | Omaha Westside | 6’1 Guard – Reggie Thomas Reggie Thomas 6'0" | SG Omaha Westside | 2022 State NE is another player that has been playing for the Warriors since he was a freshman. His productivity has gone up extremely his junior year averaging 14.9 points, 5 rebounds and 1.7 steals. Reggie has received an offer from one of NAIA top schools in the nation, Morningside University. Reggie will be on the Prep Hoops Preseason Class-A teams.
Martel Evans Martel Evans 5'11" | PG Creighton Prep | 2022 State NE | Creighton Prep | 6’1 Guard – Evans will finally have the chance to put the Jr. Jays behind his back as he will be able to play point-guard and behind side with UNO commit Luke Jungers Luke Jungers 6'9" | PF Omaha Creighton Prep | 2022 State NE . The Jr. Jays will be losing out on guards Justin Sitti and Mai’Jhe Wiley. Evans played in 23 games last season and only averaged a total of 3 points. You can expect that to go up and coaches contacting him soon.
Lam Kuany Lam Kuany 6'6" | C Omaha Bryan | 2022 State NE | Omaha Bryan | 6’7 Forward – Lam has received multiple juco offers and a few from post-grad programs. Lam has been a starter for Omaha Bryan since his sophomore year averaging 12.8 points and 5 rebounds per-game the past two seasons. Lam will be the only starter returning for the Bears. It will be fun to see how Lam can try to help Bryan have a wining season since 2018-2019 season and with now first-year head coach Galen Gullie.
