Today we unveil prospects #1 – #5!
#1 James Brown James Brown 6'9" | C Link Academy (from Chicago) | 2024 #66 Nation MO (St. Rita – 2024)

Brown is the top sophomore prospect in the state. The 2024 five man has an advanced low-post game which allows him get points around the hoop with ease. Old school game with combination moves, hook shots, and short jumpers around the hoop. Fluid getting up and down the floor for rim runs. Defensively he is a force blocking shots and is a high-level rebounder on either end.
#2 Morez Johnson Morez Johnson 6'9" | PF Thornton | 2024 State #33 Nation IL (St. Rita – 2024)

Johnson is the other elite big man from St. Rita. He is a power forward in the sophomore class that brings top notch athleticism and physical tools to the table. Such a quick twitched athlete around the hoop swatting shots, throwing down dunks, and snatching rebounds in traffic. His emerging offensive game gives him considerable upside as he has flashed face up ability over the last year.
#3 Jaden Schutt Jaden Schutt 6'5" | SG Yorkville Christian | 2022 State #42 Nation IL (Yorkville Christian – 2022)

Schutt is the current #1 in the 2022 rankings. He is coming off a fantastic summer for the Illinois Wolves where he led them to the UAA championship. Always been known as an elite shot maker he is one of the best three point shooters in the class and moves without the ball about as well as anyone in the country. More athleticism and bounce to his game than he is given credit along with being a playmaker with the ball in his hands. Duke has a good one coming their way!
#4 Ty Rodgers (Thornton)

Rodgers moved into Illinois and is under serious consideration for the top spot once we update the senior rankings after the holiday tournaments. We have seen Rodgers play for years in various camps Nike Elite 100, Pangos, and with Meanstreets on the circuit. He is a big bodied scoring wing that is a flat out bucket getter. Rodgers plays with such physicality and motor. So productive every time out. Illinois high school hoops fans are going to love watching him!
#5 Braden Huff Braden Huff 6'11" | PF Glenbard West | 2022 State #58 Nation IL (Glenbard West – 2022)

Huff has established himself as one of the premier prospects in Illinois with his advanced skill set at his size. The power forward can play all over the floor including running the point at times from his frontcourt position. Excellent passer and ball handler that can take defenses apart working out of the high-post. Floor spacer as a shooter and can score around the hoop with touch. Huff is headed to Gonzaga next year.
