Prep Hoops Indiana hosted our annual Freshman Showcase on Saturday featuring over 150 of the best prospects in the Class of 2025. This was a great opportunity to see a bunch of guys as they head into their first season of high school basketball. Here, we take a look and evaluate the players that make up Team 4.

[player_tooltip player_id="1143514" first="Aden" last="Chase"] - 5’6" Guard - Indianapolis Cathedral

Chase is a smaller southpaw point guard who has incredibly quick hands and feet. On the defensive end of the ball, he was able to disrupt the opposing point guard by keeping him in front consistently and poking the ball away several times. Chase also knocked down a couple of triples.

[player_tooltip player_id="1299745" first="Camden" last="Craig"] - 6’3" Wing - Switzerland County

<span data-sheets-value="{"1":2,"2":"Craig is a big wing with a lot of length, and he played hard throughout the entire event on Saturday. He hustled for nearly every loose ball and played hard on defense. On the offensive end of the floor, he struggled inside the paint as he seemed to force a little bit too much, but he has a great outside stroke and he knocked down threes with consistency. He is going to be a key player for the Pacers in the coming years."}" data-sheets-userformat="{"2":342977,"3":{"1":0},"9":0,"10":2,"11":3,"12":0,"14":{"1":2,"2":0},"15":"Times New Roman","16":11,"19":0,"21":0}">Craig is a big wing with a lot of length, and he played hard throughout the entire event on Saturday.

[player_tooltip player_id="1297072" first="Kanon" last="Higgs"] - 6’5" Post - Muncie Central

<span data-sheets-value="{"1":2,"2":"Higgs is a big bodied posst player who seemed to be nearly immovable in the paint. He was a brick wall on the defensive end of the floor, and he made it tough on anyone who came inside. On the offensive end, Kanon had some tough finishes in the lane. If he can improve his footwork in the post, he will improve into a much better post player."}" data-sheets-userformat="{"2":342977,"3":{"1":0},"9":0,"10":2,"11":3,"12":0,"14":{"1":2,"2":0},"15":"Times New Roman","16":11,"19":0,"21":0}">Higgs is a big bodied posst player who seemed to be nearly immovable in the paint.

[player_tooltip player_id="1296998" first="Cedric" last="Horton"] - 6’1" Guard - Richmond

Horton is a bigger guard whose athleticism is off-the-charts. He threw down some monster dunks in his final game of the day, and he can really jump out of the gym. Cedric is very smooth around the rim and showed off several impressive moves to finish inside. He is very tough to stop when he gets going downhill, and his aggressiveness really allows him to finish through contact inside. Watch for Cedric to be a top player in the Richmond area in years to come.

[player_tooltip player_id="1297011" first="Damon" last="Howard"] - 5’8" Guard - Indianapolis Pike

Howard is a smaller guard who really showed the ability to do it all on Saturday. He sees the floor well and made some passes that I did not expect him to make. He also showed off a pretty smooth 3 point stroke, knocking down several throughout the day. Around the rim, he seemed to be pass-first, but he pulled up in the lane for a nice little floater in the lane. Howard should be a nifty player to watch develop for Pike in the coming years.

[player_tooltip player_id="1297004" first="Christion" last="Hurt"] - 5’11" Guard - Indianapolis Crispus Attucks

Hurt is another guard with a ton of raw talent in his game. He is very quick with the ball in his hands, and he can get to the rim with ease it seems. When he gets inside, he seems to always look to find the open man which is either dishing to the open post player or finding an open corner three. Hurt also has the ability to sky for rebounds on both ends of the floor, and when he grabs a board, he is looking to get out and run immediately. Scoring the ball, Hurt was nearly perfect on his catch and shoot attempts from the outside. Great overall performance from Christion on Saturday.

[player_tooltip player_id="1297038" first="Isaac" last="Kramer"] - 6’0" Guard - Avon

Kramer is a bigger guard who loves to get downhill and attack the rim. He did show a tendency to get too deep inside at times which led to some turnovers. He was at his best when he was playing pass-first and getting his teammates involved. However, when he takes his time and get into rhythm, he did show off a nice little pull-up jumper. Look for Kramer to make some plays for Avon on JV this year.

[player_tooltip player_id="1297092" first="Micah" last="Martin"] - 6’3 Wing - Lakeland Christian

<span data-sheets-value="{"1":2,"2":"Martin is a big wing who can really knock it down from the outside with consistency with his smooth shooting stroke. When driving it to the hole, Micah seems to always go strong through contact. However, he was careless with the ball at times when driving to the hole and with his passes. His decision making is going to improve as he continues to gain experience."}" data-sheets-userformat="{"2":342977,"3":{"1":0},"9":0,"10":2,"11":3,"12":0,"14":{"1":2,"2":0},"15":"Times New Roman","16":11,"19":0,"21":0}">Martin is a big wing who can really knock it down from the outside with consistency with his smooth shooting stroke.

[player_tooltip player_id="1297051" first="Jake" last="Mcgraw"] - 6’1" Guard - Clinton Prairie

McGraw has good size at the guard position, but I would love to see him being a lot more aggressive getting the ball into his hands. He was really passive in the offense during the showcase, so it didn’t result in a ton of touches. When he did get the ball in his hands, he had a couple of good baseline drives to the rim, but I am looking forward to seeing him play again in the future to get a better read on his skills.

[player_tooltip player_id="1297073" first="Kasien" last="Stevenson"] - 6’1" Guard - North Central

<span data-sheets-value="{"1":2,"2":"Stevenson is a bigger southpaw who knows how to use his length on both ends of the floor. He came up with several blocks or deflections on the defensive end of the floor. On the offensive end, Kasien always seems to attack the rim with authority and seeks out contact to finish through. He also sees the court well and has his eyes up at all times looking for the open man. Stevenson played well on the Prep Hoops Circuit all year, and he is going to be a player to watch in the coming years."}" data-sheets-userformat="{"2":342977,"3":{"1":0},"9":0,"10":2,"11":3,"12":0,"14":{"1":2,"2":0},"15":"Times New Roman","16":11,"19":0,"21":0}">Stevenson is a bigger southpaw who knows how to use his length on both ends of the floor.
