Expert Analysis
Sam Duren | Prep Hoops Scout
One of the athletic scoring hidden gems in Oklahoma, Edwards recently hit the 1,000 career points scoring mark. The senior accomplished this feat even while being limited due to injuries as a junior. He’s developed into an explosive finisher, with the ability to get off the floor quick and maintain good hangtime. Along with the vertical explosiveness, he’s fast and shifty which makes him a transition terror and capable of carving up defenses in the halfcourt as well. Mix in being a three point threat, and Edwards is a prospect who could surprise at the small college level with the upside to have a strong career.

An athletic and acrobatic finisher at the rim, Edwards has great end to end speed and thrives in transition. Where he can finish with either hand, along with the ability to occasionally punch it when he gets a clear lane in the halfcourt. His instincts to push off defensive rebounds and playing passing lanes are a great example of how hard work can create easy points for a team. When defenders do sag off, he can make them pay from distance as well.
