Kylen DeFreeze Kylen DeFreeze 6’5″ | PF Purcell | 2024 State OK truly showcased his versatility and high motor as a forward on day 2. DeFreeze put his bucket getting ways on full display against Oklahoma Impact, scoring his team’s first 19 points before finishing with 29 points in total. This kid was amazing to watch. He excelled in dribble pull-ups and catch-and-shoots within the perimeter, especially around the high and low post areas. His effort on the offensive glass led to multiple putback layups. DeFreeze proved to be a prolific mid-range jump shooter with an effective post game. His use of pivot and jab steps, along with his powerful right-to-left crossover set up his deadly pull-up jumper or push shot floater. Defensively, Kylen DeFreeze Kylen DeFreeze 6’5″ | PF Purcell | 2024 State OK stood out with his shot-blocking ability and rebounding prowess. His timing and length allowed him to reject shots and secure countless boards. Whether it’s blocking layups or jump shots, he consistently returned them to sender. DeFreeze even showcased his all-around impact by protecting the rim, contesting shots, or grabbing a defensive rebound and immediately pushing the ball up the floor in transition for scoring opportunities where he knocked down mid-range and three-point pull-up jump shots. Overall, DeFreeze proved to be a force on both ends of the court with his versatile skill set.

Camden Daniels displayed a smart offensive approach by utilizing his shot-making ability from beyond the arc to set up his drives to the basket. His shifty hesitation dribble helped him deceive defenders, causing them to lose balance, leave their feet, or commit to the wrong move, which gave Daniels the perfect opportunity to attack the hoop. Camden’s quick feet and ability to change speeds and stop on a dime heavily contributed to his creation of space, scoring opportunities, and the ability to get off clean looks at the basket.
Alex Alston Alex Alston 6’8″ | PF Destiny Christian | 2024 State OK proved to be a valuable asset coming off the bench, providing a boost in rebounding and scoring. Alston’s ability to go on a 6-0 run in a short span of time highlighted the impact he can on a game. As a plug-and-play player, Alston can contribute effectively to an offense from various positions on the floor. It was impressive that he didn’t wait for rebounds but actively went after them, showcasing his determination and hustle. As a raw prospect, Alex Alston Alex Alston 6’8″ | PF Destiny Christian | 2024 State OK possesses great potential at the forward position, and it will be exciting to see his growth and development throughout his senior year.

Edwards’ ability to anticipate the next pass made for timely steals.
