Gem City Basketball had a 2-2 weekend and competed with some talented teams. I caught them against FCAA and Marshall brought a lot of energy including a breakaway slam that helped Gem City build a big first half lead. When Marshall is aggressive he can find success on the defensive end with his athleticism and length. In the second half Ramy Ahmed had a couple tough takes to the rim to help Gem City hold on.

Marshall brings two-way potential when he steps on the floor. Likes to get up and down and especially excelled when he was able to get into the open court in transition. Pushes the tempo himself when he can get out. Involves himself in plays besides just scoring. Tough to stay in front of with his quickness and shot selection around the rim. Marshall could have a big high school season with Wayne with this play plus having a teammate like Lawrent Rice to play alongside.
