The league features 22 JV and Varsity teams from around the Las Vegas area. With this being the first taste of high school action in over a year, it offered an opportunity to evaluate a ton of local players under one roof. In this article, we take a look at some of the standouts from week 1. (All Fall League Games are Live Streamed and Recorded on the 7outz Channel)
Chase Jackson Chase Jackson 6'8" | C Centennial | 2023 State NV 6’8 C Centennial 2023 (#12PHN 2022) – Jackson proved that he can be an interior anchor this season. He protected the rim well, blocking and altering several shots. He also displayed the ability to catch the ball and was able to finish with his strong hand around the rim.
Elijah Burney Elijah Burney 6'1" | PG Centennial | 2023 State NV 6’0 PG Centennial 2023 (#29PHN 2023) – I’ve always enjoyed watching Burney play, problem has been I rarely get to see him play. Today he showed that he is a two-way PG. He defended well, coming away with his share of thefts. His best trait is his passing ability, Burney showed that he can create for teammates, hitting them with several dimes throughout the day.
John Mobley Jr John Mobley Jr 6'0" | PG Wasatch Academy | 2024 State #55 Nation UT 5’11 PG Bishop Gorman 2024 (#6PHN 2024) – The quest for the West Cost best shooter may be over. Mobley is a sharpshooter, that takes shot-making to another level. His release is perfect, and he has the ability to knock down shots off the dribble and in catch-and-shoot situations, he did both today.
Christian Martin Christian Martin 6'2" | SG Sierra Vista | 2022 State NV 6’3 SG Sierra Vista 2022 (featured image) – I was impressed with Martin’s slashing. He’s always been able to get to the rim, but today he was able to finish in traffic. When he played North to South, he was a problem to handle. Martin made the game-winning assist to help his Blue Hoops squad to a Week 1 victory.
Alijah Adem Alijah Adem 6'2" | PG Spring Valley | 2024 State #174 Nation NV 6’1 PG Spring Valley (#8PHN 2024) – Adem put the entire state on notice today. His ability to shoot the ball off the bounce is phenomenal and he seems to improve his playmaking skills every game. The Grizzlies are absolutely loaded, but he is the clear engine for the team. The sophomore PG finished with 23 on the day.
Eli Bradley Eli Bradley 6'2" | SG Bishop Gorman | 2023 State NV 6’3 SG Bishop Gorman 2023 – I’ll be the first to admit Bradley’s jumper isn’t textbook, but it’s effective. The lefty showed just how effective he could be burying 4 treys on the day to help Gorman cruise to a week 1 victory.
Mason Abittan Mason Abittan 6'6" | SF Red Rock Academy | 2025 State NV 6’2 SG Coronado 2025 – The development of Abittan is far from over, but he looks better every time I see him. Today he was at his best. Despite suffering a defeat, he scored 44 of the teams 62 total points.
Hayden Sullivan Hayden Sullivan 6'0" | PG Boulder City | 2022 State NV 6’0 PG Boulder City 2022 – The transfer from Bishop Manogue made an immediate impact. His pull-up jumper is legit, and he used it to knock down several 3’s. He has a good frame and was able to finish through contact on his drives to the rim. He also showed some athleticism, getting great lift on his shot, allowing him to raise up over defenders.
