A one-two punch is a treat for scouts and fans alike. Two stars trading touches and producing as a unit is a massive advantage for any team, especially in the postseason. Which lesser-known duos could break out this season?

Eau Claire Memorial -

[player_tooltip player_id="1189004" first="L.J." last="Wells"] - 2022:
A late bloomer prospect that’s gaining traction at the right time. He's an exciting defensive gem with the motor and length to become a gamechanger on that end. He isn’t a paint-only player on offense, but he likes to rip and go from the elbows and high post.

[player_tooltip player_id="1129309" first="Will" last="Boser"] - 2022:
Boser made a huge jump last season, going from three points per game to 20. Like Wells, he’s framed perfectly for his position. Boser brings more of the offensive firepower, though. Can score in a hurry and there's no limits on his range from beyond the arc. I think he’ll only take off further this season, and Concordia St. Paul will end up with a steal.

Madison La Follette -

[player_tooltip player_id="1089686" first="Quinton" last="Lomack"] - 2024:
A touted young recruit with the potential to become a legitimate prospect sooner rather than later. Lomack brings power and finesse to the small forward position, a dynamic that worked beautifully this summer. Like many 2024s, he’s looking for a big season to solidify his reputation. That could be this year as he plays alongside Riak in the frontcourt.

[player_tooltip player_id="950098" first="Juok" last="Riak"] - 2022:
A man amongst boys in the paint. I don’t think many guys will knock him off his ground. He’s going to have his way against a lot of opponents if he can get position, which he’s been capable of doing. It’ll be interesting to see where he’s at with his game. La Follette didn’t play last year and his AAU season was cut short by injury. I’m optimistic, so I think he could have a huge senior season.

Plus X1 -

[player_tooltip player_id="1142142" first="Jaquan" last="Johnson"] - 2024:
Johnson can be one of the top players in the entire state, regardless of class. His scoring ability is off the charts, as he’s no stranger to 40-point outbursts. He’s quick and can explode past the entire defense on fast breaks. Not to mention his skill level, which is obvious even around the best players on the summer circuit.

Ja’quell Chisom - 2022:
Chisom had stellar production as the third option last season, scoring 11.7 points and grabbing seven rebounds a game. I haven’t scouted him much, but in the limited film you can see the athleticism that helps him finish above the rim. Has nice length for a wing, too.

Waukesha South -

[player_tooltip player_id="1115915" first="Tyran" last="Cook"] - 2023:
A superb athlete that’s probably one of the strongest, most physical backcourt players in the class. He uses that to create space and dominate as a slasher. Likes the runner when he’s driving and in transition. Was the leader for South last year from a scoring standpoint with 18.2 per game.

[player_tooltip player_id="1026710" first="Daniel" last="Robinson"] - 2023:
A bouncy guard that has turned heads on every stage. Always one to outdo his perception, Robinson has honed every area of his game, building a prospect without many glaring weaknesses. He can defend with great technique, is a sneaky good shooter, and shows great fundamentals driving in the lane.

[player_tooltip player_id="761401" first="Marshawn" last="Robinson"] - 2022:
Yes, this is a duos list, but it’d be a crime to leave out any of these three. The older Robinson is the most compelling recruit heading into this season. It’s his last run at more offers, and the success of this trio would give him legitimacy for scouts to act on.
