However this program without a doubt was one of the top programs in the entire gym. 3D Empire not only had quality players, but had the attention of college coaches throughout the weekend. Coaches like Mark Few of Gonzaga and Scott Drew from Baylor spent some time watching these impressive players. So who are some of the names on display?
Ryan Agarwal Ryan Agarwal 6'7" | SF Coppell | 2022 State #99 Nation TX (2022) 6-6 SF
Bouncy. Collected as a guard and appeared to be unphased by pressure in their game against Florida Pro. Listed as a SF but concerned me when it came to him defending the post. Struggled guarding the interior against the size Florida Pro brought. Likely going to be a wing or guard collegiately but is already committed to Stanford.
Cameron Amboree (2022) 6-2 PG
Amboree might have been the top collegiate prospect on display in their game against Florida Pro. B-lines to the rim on the drive. Finished through contact which was exceptionally impressive considering the size he finished through. Good handle of the basketball. Showing consistency hitting NCAA range 3’s off the dribble. Can defend the ball and defend either guard positions.
Sammon Johnson Sammon Johnson 6'2" | SG Colleyville Heritage | 2023 State TX (2023) 6-2 SG
Came off the bench for the 16U team in their big win against WI Swing. Great speed and gets downhill quickly. Initiates contact with defenders and power through for layups. Plays bigger than a SG at times and uses a football like body to try and push around defenses.
Gehrig Normand (2023) 6-5 SG
Normand was definitely the most impressive player in my opinion because of him being a positionless player. Listed as a SG, played the PG position, but has the body and size of a SF. Good muscle tone and strong as heck. I think he is legitimately a scholarship athlete.
Wayne Pritts (2023) 6-8 SF
Pritts is a solid clean-up option around the rim. Uses his length to finish on put backs around the rim. Soft touch around the rim and finish over contact. Needs to work on his control though when attacking in dribble drive as he was called for charges twice. Could evolve into a PF with his size over the next two years.
