Ward is a good player who at times was overshadowed by his fellow Senior Jake Meyer. Javier is an explosive athlete who can really score the ball when given the opportunity. With his athleticism, Ward has also shown he can be an impact player on the defensive end and is capable of causing havoc on that end with his quickness and ability to shoot gaps for steals.

Ward is a tough shot taker and maker. He seemed to make all of the tough shots he took as he was very crafty and had great touch around the rim. He is one of the fastest players I have seen this year and was elite in transition. Did a great job using his quickness to be disruptive defensively and generate steals. Was the player early for Holy Cross that got them going. He finished the game with 16 points. Tough player that plays with a chip on his shoulder.

Ward is a small, shifty point guard that is electric in the open court. One of the fastest players in the state and uses it on both ends of the floor. Does a great job defensively with his ball pressure and creating turnovers. Can score from 3pt range both off the catch and dribble. Does a good job getting to his spots on offense and elevates on his shots. Exciting player to watch.
