Itai Rotem, B2L, Newton South, HT 5’11, position PG/SG, class Sophomore
Itai is a hard worker on both ends of the floor. Itai may not be the quickest player, but he uses his footwork to stay in front of defenders on defense, and ball handling skills to get by defenders on offense. Itai makes very few mistakes, and does a good job controlling the offense and game tempo. Itai has a good assist to turnover ratio. Itai is aggressive on offense, and attacks the basket hard. He does a good job of drawing fouls and getting to the line. Itai has really improved his three point shooting over the years. Itai see the floor well and does a good job of making the smart passes. Itai does a good job at moving without the ball. Itai cuts hard and does a good job of finding the open holes in the defense. Itai is a player to watch, and will continue to improve.
Adam Landry, Newton North, Middlesex Magic Position G, HT 6’4, class Sophomore
Adam is an athletic guard. Adam is really good at play making, and creating his own shot. Adam is able to score in a multitude of ways. Adam shoots the three at a high volume, and can also score off the dribble. Adam is strong and has good finishing skills at the rim with both hands. Adam has good size for a guard. On defense Adam is quick and has good anticipation for where the ball will be. I expect Adam to have a big junior season for the tigers next season.
Jesse Doherty, Reading, position G, class Sophomore, HT 6’3
Jesse is a versatile guard. Jesse is a good three point shooter and can also score in the paint on bigger players. Jesse is a playmaker. He can score off the dribble and catch and shoot. Jesse is someone you want to have the ball late in the game.
Julius Hicks, Position SF, HT 6’3, Canton, class Sophomore
Julius is a forward who can handle the ball and plays good defense. Julius plays good help side defense, and makes good passes from the wing. I think Julius will improve and will show he can play at high levels.
Nick petronio, Needham, Position G, class sophomore, HT 6’4
Nick had a strong season for Needham. Nick is a very good shooter, and made a lot of big shots this season. Nick has a lot of skill and is a great finisher. Nick is a really good all around player and impacts a game in many ways. Nick should have another big season next year for the rockets, and is in the middle of a big spring AAU season.
