These high-level performers continue to bring their “A” game on the AAU circuit, while still filling up the stat sheet with buckets. By next high school season, watch for these young men to have a variety of college choices to continue their basketball careers.
Devin Carney Devin Carney 6'1" | CG Butler | 2022 State PA
6’0 combo guard – Butler High School
With a good amount of division 1 offers, this young man has proven in high school and during AAU that he is ready to step on a college campus. He always looks to have the ball in his hands to make a quality play, whether it’s a basket or an assist. Devin averaged over 30 points per game and can fill it up from deep beyond the arc.
Jake DiMichele Jake DiMichele 6'3" | CG OLSH | 2022 State PA
6’3 guard/wing forward – OLSH High School
A prolific scorer, this outstanding player is the true definition of a winner on and off the court. His long, lanky build makes him a match-up problem for defenders every game with his ability to score all over the floor. Jake averaged over 30 points per game and led his high school team to a WPIAL and State Championship this season.
Jackson Juzang
6’1 shooting guard – Winchester Thurston High School
An overall talented player that can score in a variety of ways during a contest. He looks to penetrate the lane, pulls up from mid-range, and will extend his game from the three-point line as well. Jackson averaged over 30 points per game and looked to get his teammate involved despite all his buckets.
Ryan Lang Ryan Lang 6'2" | CG Knoch | 2022 State PA
6’2 shooting guard – Knoch High School
This knock-down shooter is extremely deadly from a very long distance and has a tremendously quick release on his jumper. He provides a spark for his team when a basket is needed whether it’s coming off a screen or just “banging down” a shot. Ryan averaged around 25 points per game and has extended his game to some finishes on drives to the hoop as well.
Brevan Williams Brevan Williams 6'5" | SF Greensburg Central Catholic | 2022 State PA
6’5 wing forward – Greensburg Central Catholic High School
With his length and agility, he can score in bunches during a thirty-two-minute contest. His biggest asset is getting out in transition and finish at the rim. Brevan over 20 points a game this season and was a major catalyst for his team making a deep playoff run in high school.
Eli Yofan Eli Yofan 6'3" | CG Fox Chapel | 2022 State PA
6’3 combo guard – Fox Chapel High School
While he likes to shoot the ball many times during a game, this talented player still looks for his team members when his shot is not available in the half-court set. Also, he shoots very well from the free-throw line. Eli averaged above 20 points per game and was the main guy on his squad all year.
Adou Thiero Adou Thiero 6'4" | CG Quaker Valley | 2022 State PA
6’2 combo guard – Quaker Valley High School
A tremendously skilled guard that always wants the rock in his hands during a game. He has developed an all-around scoring arsenal with penetration to the rim to complement his perimeter shooting ability. Adou was seriously injured before his HS playoffs. That has caused him to be out of AAU, but he is definitely deserving of this coverage being one of western PA’s best players (23ppg average).
Devin Whitlock Devin Whitlock 6'1" | CG Belle Vernon | 2022 State PA
6’0 combo guard – Belle Vernon High School
This quick, shifty guard has the leadership qualities which give him the opportunity to put up big numbers on the scoreboard for his team. They trust his decision-making and feed off of his energy during a game. Devin is a two-sport star and averaged over 20 points per game this season.
I have had the privilege to watch each one of these top players in person or on film this past season. Let me assure you that when they step on the floor the scoreboard will “light up” quickly on the hardwood.
