Andover’s Eli Shetlar Eli Shetlar 6'4" | SG Andover | 2023 State KS was named to the 3rd team of the tournament. But there were plenty more Kansas players who deserve recognition for their great performances.
Here is the Grind Region Memorial Classic 16U Kansas All Star Team:
KS All Stars First Team:
Will Anciaux Will Anciaux 6'6" | PF Kapaun Mt Carmel | 2023 State KS , 6-foot-6 forward, TBB KS, Kapaun HS:
A dynamic athlete for a big, long guy, Anciaux can put it on the floor and push it up court, get in the lane and power up, or face the basket and drive. He’s developing a perimeter game, but there’s no question his physical tools or his ability in a traditional power role. He doesn’t always score a lot of points, because he plays well in a team concept.
Mason Gomez, 6-foot-2 forward, Kansas 94×50 Elite, Topeka West:
Was there a better shooter in KC that Gomez? The wing dropped nearly every 3-pointer he took. He glides to open spots around the perimeter, and was dead on all weekend, hitting multiple threes in just about every game. He’s a well built forward who can mix it up in the lane and can rebound and push the ball up the court. He can also find open shooters on the drive, or drop in a midrange jumper.
Fernando Gracia, 6-foot-5 forward, 816 Hoops – Burch, Olathe North HS:
It’s doubtful anyone blocked more shots in KC than Gracia. He’s got long arms and knows just when to leave his man to thwart the shot of another opponent. Gracia shows great anticipation and nimble feet to get in position. He’s not just a shot blocker, however. He has a 3-point stroke and decent handle, and he is able to catch on the run and convert.
Eli Shetlar Eli Shetlar 6'4" | SG Andover | 2023 State KS , 6-foot-4 guard, TBB KS, Andover HS:
Shetlar gets a lot done within a team framework. He plays like a small guard, handling the ball and knifing through traffic to create at the offensive end. But he’s got length to be real trouble to small guards. He shoots it well from deep and on the move in the midrange. Shetlar is a consummate team-player, getting the ball to teammates on time and in position.
Malaki Taylor, 6-foot-1 guard, KC Spurs Black, Gardner-Edgerton HS:
Taylor is a smooth guard who makes a lot of plays look easy. He has great awareness, vision and IQ. Taylor handles the ball well, but works well with smaller point guards, making a lot of good passes from the off-guard spot. He is a subtle athlete with a pull-up jumper, and ability to get to the goal. Taylor always has his eyes up, looking for ways to get teammates the ball.
KS All Stars Second Team:
Ketraleus Aldridge, 6-foot-4 forward, KC United, Highland Park HS
Chris Harris, 6-foot-6 forward, TBB KS, Andover HS
Spencer Owens, 6-foot-3 center, KC Spurs Black, Blue Valley HS

Aiden Werth, 6-foot-6 forward, KC United, Aquinas HS
