This weekend was the zero gravity one day tournament. Here Is analyst on some players from 2 Programs in the eastern area. NYBC, and Middlesex Magic.
This is the first season for the NYBC team out of newton, and they had two close games. They showed potential, and this was only their first time playing together as a team. They moved the ball well, and played tough on defense. Middlesex magic had strong performance as well, playing tough defense, moving the ball well, and having a lot of big wins
Paul Kazaronian NYBC Elite, Position G, class Junior, stat line 18 points, 4 rebounds 4 assists
Paul showed his aggressiveness on offense, he attacked the basket hard, drawing fouls, and finishing well at the rim through contact. Paul was very big down the stretch hitting a few clutch threes. On defense Paul was a hustler, diving for balls on the ground, and played tough on ball defense.
Sean Martin NYBC Elite class Junior, Position G, stat line 15 points 5 assists.
Sean Martin is a quick guard who showed great ability in transition passing the ball up the floor well to start fast breaks, and running the floor scoring. Sean can play point guard or shooting guard, and in this game he did a good job moving the ball starting the offense, and also playing off the ball. Sean did not just dribble for no reason. Sean had some nice finishes at the rim. On defense he played tough, he communicated well, fought hard through screens and had a good defense stance.
Alex talyanskiy NYBC Elite Class Junior, position PG, stat line 8 points 5 assists
Alex is a true point guard who showed his point guard skills in the game. Alex may not be the biggest player on the court, but he is quick and dribbles the ball low and well. He is pass first, and made a lot of good reads to find open players. Alex was good on the pick in roll, making good decisions off the pick and roll finding the mismatches. Alex didn’t let his size stop him from attacking the basket as he showed that he is able to score over bigger defenders. Alex didn’t turn the ball over much something you like to see in guards
Ryan Kannaley MIddlesex Magic
Ryan was dominate all round in the game. He impacted the game in many ways. He shot very well from three, played tough defense, and rebounded well. Ryan was a big part of the teams win. Ryan has a good skill set and has a good basketball IQ.
Gavin Hill, Middlesex Magic G/F, class 8th
Gavin won co player of the game and rightfully so as he was a big part in his teams win. He really got players involved making good passes, he hit big shots, and played hard the whole game. Gavin is gonna keep improving as he heads into high school. Middlesex Magic has developed a bunch of high level talent.
