As we get into the Grassroots season, these guys will look at getting it done for their clubs doing what they do best, scoring the rock.
Jordan Brown Jordan Brown 6'2" | SG St Francis | 2022 State GA , 6’3 SG, Basehor Linwood: Highlighted this season with a 30 point half, Brown will look to build off a strong scoring campaign in the high school season and a monumental summer in 2020 which saw his stock soar. A tremendous shooter off both the catch and dribble, the intermediate game and repertoire around the rim continue to grow with him as well. He is always capable of becoming a microwave on the floor and getting hot regardless of what is going on in the ball game. With extended deep range, a good handle to get into the painted area, and an aggressive scoring mindset, look for Brown to have some big time scoring games this spring.
Christian Bowen-Webb Christian Bowen-Webb 6'2" | CG Bishop Miege | 2022 State KS , 6’2 SG, Bishop Miege (Pictured): Another guard who can get going quickly and stay hot from the field, Webb has a good looking jump shot and has extended range. He has the ability to get individual scoring runs or team runs going by hitting really tough shots, or back breaking 3’s. He hit 4 threes in the state championship game that really put a mark on the dominance that Miege showed throughout the post season. With his usage rate likely going up during the grassroots session, expect him to be able to show off more of the complete offensive game built around his high level shooting, as Webb has a tight handle and can finish in the paint.
Zaid Dajani Zaid Dajani 6'4" | CG Olathe Northwest | 2022 State KS , 6’3 Guard, Olathe Northwest: After tearing up the Sunflower league scoring around 19 points per game, Dajani will look to take the scoring prowess and heating up ability on to the grassroots scene this spring and summer. His play in the mid range game and his athletic leaping ability are the standouts with Dajani as he can get into his pull up jumper from all over the floor quickly and also dunk the ball in traffic in transition or in the half court. He is really good at playing off ball screens, attacking closeouts, and in triple threat, and hits a ton of contested shots.
Rex Robinette, 6’1 Guard, Maranatha: Carried a tremendous scoring load this season for a Maranatha team that came on strong in the second half of the season, sparked by Robinette’s increase in play mainly scoring the ball. He finished the season scoring over 20 points per game and had a couple of tremendous breakout scoring efforts during the turn of the season for the team. Expect for him to continue his hot momentum scoring the ball intro the spring and summer. A good shooter who made 33 3’s on the year and he is also a strong and confident player with the ball in his hands.
Dameion Hatten Dameion Hatten 6'3" | CG Sedan | 2022 State KS , 6’3 Guard, Sedan: An electric and explosive athlete, Hatten can get to all his spots on the floor and can make a living in the painted area. He can put up points in a hurry and can turn a couple of defensive stops into instant offense in transition really quick, as he can get going in transition and he is tough to contain. He average 19.3 points per game on the season while shooting 51% from the field. His defensive energy and ability to get steals and convert can get him heated up quick in games and can spark big runs.
Ty Henry Ty Henry 6'3" | SG Seaman | 2022 State KS , 6’4 Guard, Seaman: Henry had a really solid season as Seaman improved immensely on both ends of the floor. Henry is an elite level shooter who can get hot in an instant especially if he is able to get to his spots in the mid range off the dribble. He is smooth in straight line drives and can spring up quick into his shot, and he is pretty reliable in catch and shoot 3 scenarios. Henry averaged 13.8 points per game this season and shot 52% from the field and 40% from 3 point land.
