Concord Christian vs. Webb Knoxville: November 30

[player_tooltip player_id="1022626" first="Jaylon" last="Green"] (2023) | Knoxville Webb

Monday night Jaylon’s play was understated. Solid. Jaylon did not attack the basket as successfully as he can, but the execution of Coach Ricky Norris’ offense was exceptional. Jaylon is only a sophomore, but he absolutely understands the system. Green does not dominate the ball like many point guards do at the high school level and the system thanks him. In order to utilize the floor spacing the ball must move and move crisply.

Brandon Winton (2024) | Knoxville Webb

Brandon played aggressively against Concord. His offensive rebounding really helped elongate possessions. Winton can transform himself into an elite perimeter defender with the flick of a switch. His power and commitment make him a true nuisance to dribble towards.

Markeis Barrett (2024) | Knoxville Webb

Markeis Barrett came off the bench against Concord, but entered with plenty of confidence. Donning his wide, white headband, Barrett instantly inserted his disruptive speed. Barrett made sharp, incisive cuts on each touch. The speed is next level. To be truthful, Barrett is behind the older guards in his comprehension of the team concepts. The left-hander earned his way to the free throw line with purposeful explosion towards the tin. Barrett will be a handful for years to come. Clearly. He might still be growing.

White House Heritage vs. Clarksville: November 30

[player_tooltip player_id="775625" first="Jaheim" last="McDonald"] (2021) | Clarksville

Stability. McDonald is bankable each and every game.

JJ Wheat (2022) | Clarksville

Nobody on the floor could check JJ...again. His ability to change direction was fantastic. Wheat showed that he could play effectively at multiple speeds. Last game I scouted of his, Wheat was dynamic but perhaps a little hurried in tight spaces. White House Heritage is a completely different animal in terms of pacing. Still, Wheat was solid. In fact, Wheat surpassed the 1,000 point career plateau late in the game.

Daniel Bale (2021) | White House Heritage

Strong shoulders and reliable footwork. Bale is a decent frontcourt piece, but CHS completely ran WHH out of the building Monday night. Bale was really solid attacking from 12’ out.
