Former State Champion [player_tooltip player_id='2310160' first='Huston' last='Torres'] earned an offer from Lincoln Memorial University June 20th. Eight days later he verbally committed to LMU Head Coach Tony Jasick. "I picked them because I loved their campus and faculties that they have," said [player_tooltip player_id='2310160' first='Huston' last='Torres'] in an exclusive interview with PrepHoopsTN. "Also, I'm the first 2027 that they offered, so the offer that they were giving seemed like the best choice."

Torres (Knoxville Webb) moved up about 30 spots in the latest rankings after showcasing quick, quick feet during his AAU spring. Torres sees the floor very well and increased his value to colleges by growing to 6-foot-1, nudging 6-foot-2.

Torres is a gutsy, max effort guy who always keeps the puppies mushing. His quickness and above average handle routinely escort him into dangerous areas of the court. There is also some elusiveness to his driving, some deception. Torres finished very, very well with his left hand in traffic throughout his junior season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1766781' first='Christian' last='Bright'] (Green Hill) earned an offer from Johnson University. Bright was named All-District in District 7-4A as well as All-Region 4-4A. Because he is high-academic (4.4 GPA, 31 ACT), Bright is enjoying recruitment from some top Division III programs. During BCAT Hoopfest Bright averaged 18.0 points per game across two games for Green Hill's Hawks. He made 3.5 three-pointers per, which speaks to his development as a shooter in the last two years.

After BCAT over a half dozen colleges reached out: Amherst, Gettysburg, Middlebury, Washington & Lee, MIT, Oberlin, and Sewanee. Oberlin and Gettysburg specifically will be getting college visits from Bright, he shared with @PrepHoopsTN. He also intends to visit Rivier University.

Based upon his play Ottawa University offered him. They are an NAIA program based in Ottawa, Kansas. He too is a high-academic hooper. Simmons can hit the open shot and projects as a shooting guard with some height (6-foot-2).
