These boys earned playing time last year on the Varsity level and will definitely become “go-to” guys this season. After reaching out to local coaches, these names consistently are being discussed for breakout performances.
D’Saun Harmon D’Saun Harmon 6'5" | SF Ambridge | 2022 State PA 6’7″ Junior, Forward (plays the 3 and 4 positions)
Ambridge High School
An extremely athletic player who has expanded his game from the post to the wing. D’Saun played some Varsity last season, but now becomes a starter looking to contribute vitally to his team. He is a skilled rebounder and shot-blocker, who plays above the rim on offense with monstrous dunks. Watching him fill the lane on the fast break leads to the anticipation of a strong finish at the basket. D’Saun has improved his range and gained confidence from the perimeter as well.
Langston Moses Langston Moses 6'3" | SF Pittsburgh Central Catholic | 2022 State PA 6’3″ Junior, Forward (play the 3 and 4 positions)
Central Catholic High School
After playing last season at Winchester Thurston, he now will be an immediate impact player for Central Catholic. Langston brings toughness and high energy to his new team at the 6A classification. His skill set is very balanced with the ability to penetrate the lane, while “knocking down mid-range jumpers. Langston is a tenacious rebounder, both on the offensive and defensive end of the floor.
Steven Antuono 6’2″ Guard, (plays the 1 and 2 positions)
Ellwood City High School
As a starter last season as a sophomore, he developed into a high-level scorer. Steve has the ability to control the offense from the point guard position as well. His ball-handling and passing skills make him a serious “match-up problem on the court from different positions. Also, Steve has an extremely high basketball IQ which makes him a tremendous leader. He will not back down from a challenge playing top competition.
LA Pratt LA Pratt 6'5" | SF Lincoln Park | 2022 State PA 6’4″ Foward, (plays the 3 and 4 positions)
Lincoln Park Performing Arts Charter School
An athletic wing/post player who will contribute to his team this year as a Varsity starter. LA’s wingspan and length significantly help him on the defensive end of the floor, as well as in the rebounding department. He has added a mid-range jumper to his game, while always having the ability to get to the rim. LA is very skilled on the press for his team, being one of the guys who can get steals and get out on the break.
Michael Graham Michael Graham 6'1" | CG New Castle | 2022 State PA 6’1″ Guard (plays the 1 and 2 positions)
New Castle High School
He played a great amount of Varsity last season for his team and grew into the position of a point guard. His slick ball-handling and quality passing ability helped Michael create opportunities for his teammates. He is the true definition of a team player who brings one-hundred percent effort every night. Also, Michael is a high percentage foul shooter and has been working on his long-range shooting as well.
Carson Heckathorn Carson Heckathorn 6'3" | PF Blackhawk | 2022 State PA 6’4″ Forward (plays the 3 and 4 positions)
Blackhawk High School
A player who will become a starter this season after playing a good amount of Varsity last year. Carson brings the tough football mentality to the basketball court. He is a strong defender and rebounder but does have the ability to “put up” some numbers on the offensive end as well. Carson is a coachable kid that will lead by example on and off the floor. With his knowledge of the game and his expanding role this season, look for him to perform at a high level.
After watching these players last season in-person and monitoring their development, I guarantee by the season’s end they will all receive college attention on a variety of levels. Please make a point to check them out and enjoy their talents/skills on the court.
