Another day, another dominant Chase Walker Chase Walker 6'8" | C St. Charles | 2023 State OH performance. Walker is a load to handle in the paint and after an up and down first half, really got things going in the second half. Walker has excellent feet in the paint and uses the spin move to his advantage. Always wanting to go over his right shoulder, Walker is reliant with finishing with his left hand around the basket. One aspect of Walker’s game that needs to be mentioned is his vision and passing ability. Whether it’s after receiving a double team in the post or catching it at midcourt when breaking the press, Walker usually makes the right read and finds an open teammate, a skill that will help him get on the floor early at the college level.

Walker is such a unique match-up at the high school level with his size and strength. Probably the toughest player in the state to officiate, his size is tough for defenders to match and officials to call fouls. Walker finished efficiently around the basket with his left hand and showed off his impressive passing ability. Walker’s conditioning and ability to defend in space will determine how much he can play early in the Missouri Valley League at Illinois State.

Walker is a big body that demands a lot of attention in the post. He is a player that you can not just have one player guard him. Everyone needs to dig in on him and probably double-team him. Orange did a great job at this. Walker got in foul trouble early so he didn’t get it going until late. When he hit a beautiful spin move in the first you saw the special talent this big fella is. He got into his rhythm late when his shots started falling and he started making his presence felt in the paint on the boards. Unfortunately for him and St. Charles Prep, it was just too late.
