The summer season is vital for high school players as it can help springboard their recruitment. A prospect who is able to string together strong performances throughout the summer will see his stock rise. The 2021 class is a prime example of this as some players rose up the rankings despite the COVID-19 pandemic limiting the amount of competition. Here are the stock risers from the updated 2021 rankings.

[player_tooltip player_id="900329" first="Marcus" last="Pierce"], 6’2 CG St. Joseph Academy

Pierce had a stellar summer for the Jersey Force Select team as he showed his ability to run the offense. The 6’2 guard was almost impossible to keep out of the lane and continuously made tough layups in traffic. Pierce made several slicks passes throughout the summer and played with confidence when the ball was in his hands. He is a solid on-ball defender and used his athleticism to get chase down blocks. Pierce is a skilled guard prospect who will make his college coach very happy at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id="900364" first="Dominick" last="Barlow"], 6’7 SF Dumont

Barlow had a breakout season for the Jersey Force Elite team this summer as he proved why he is one of the Garden State’s hidden gems. The lanky 6’7 forward can handle the ball on the perimeter and loves to finish above the rim. Barlow knows how to draw contact when he attacks the basket and is starting to shoot with more confidence on the perimeter. He uses his athleticism to swat shots around the basket and is tough to keep off the glass. Barlow’s stock has been on the rise since the start of summer and should continue to rise this season.

[player_tooltip player_id="929528" first="Trevor" last="Bokach"], 6’4 CG Watchung Hills

Bokach had a strong summer for Hoop Heaven Hawks Elite as he showed his ability to impact the game in multiple ways. The 6’4 guard is able to beat his man off the bounce and knows how to finish through contact. Bokach is a tremendous passer and will make opponents pay for giving him space on the perimeter. He plays with great instincts on the defensive end and is a good on-ball defender. Bokach’s ability to play on both ends of the floor makes him a player to watch in Somerset county this season.

[player_tooltip player_id="900363" first="Aidan" last="Kehoe"], 6’10 PF Pascack Hills

No post player in the 2021 class has seen their stock rise more than Kehoe. The 6’10 post player has a nice touch around the basket and is playing with more confidence down low. Kehoe has a nice release on his free throws and is working on his range. He fights for rebounds on both ends of the floor and uses his length to alter shots. Kehoe should continue to emerge on colleges’ radar as he is one of the more underrated bigs in the Garden State.

[player_tooltip player_id="929515" first="Logan" last="Jagodzinski"], 6’6 SF Moorestown

Jagodzinski had a big summer for SJ Elite as he proved he could be a go-to guy on the perimeter. The 6’6 wing can attack the basket from the perimeter and finish above the rim. Jagodzinski has a good mid-range game and is capable of knocking down shots from behind the arc. He is a solid rebounder and uses his athleticism to block shots on the defensive end. Jagodzinski is a hidden gem in South Jersey whose stock should rise as the season progresses.
