Continue ReadingThe college prospects ranked outside of the top 50(ish) are the diamonds in the rough year after year that are far overlooked by non Division 1 schools. Late growth spurts, skill development and overall maturity can take place in senior year and change a player’s college potential. In the following list, Division 2, Division 3, NAIA and JUCO schools will be able to find several names that are worth taking a look at.
2021 6’3 CG Quincy Wilson Quincy Wilson 6'3" | PG Spanaway Lake | 2021 State WA (Spanaway Lake HS) is a quality guard in the South Puget Sound. He has good size at the guard position. An above average athlete, Wilson can make plays on both sides of the ball driving and scoring or picking up steals on defense. He has been a solid varsity contributor for multiple years now and should have a really strong senior season.
2021 6’4 SF Ryann Ballah Ryann Ballah 6'4" | SF Spanaway Lake | 2021 State WA (Spanaway Lake HS) is a guy that has gotten better over time and put together a pretty strong junior season. He is an explosive athlete that finishes with great athleticism on the break. Down hill driver that can double clutch dunk with two hands or finish with the up and under reverse with either hand. Solid handle as well. A majorly under recruited ball player that can also hit the three ball.
2021 6’2 CG Teja Singh Teja Singh 6'2" | CG Seattle Academy | 2021 State WA (Seattle Academy) has to be another one of my favorite 2021’s ranked outside of the top 10 to watch. Singh is sneaky athletic, quick and a quality lefty shooter. An extremely smart student that would be outstanding at the Division 3 level.
2021 6’3 SF Kylo Anderson Kylo Anderson 6'3" | PF Mt. Spokane | 2021 State WA (Mt. Spokane HS) has gotten a lot better over the course of the last year. He has transformed himself from an undersized 5, to an undersized 4 to now a wing-forward as his skill set and basketball IQ has improved. He still does most of his damage inside of 15 feet, but he has expanded his game some over time. He can defend multiple positions and also players taller than him. A willing charge taker and communicator on the floor. Anderson will be able to help a program at some level.
