There were quite a few high profile prospects in this event along with several new names that emerged. Here we dive into the players in 2023 Stealth Runs: Evaluations!
Xavier Sulaiman Xavier Sulaiman 6'3" | SG Oak Lawn | 2023 State IL (Marist)
This 6’2” combo guard from Marist presents a lot of intriguing qualities. Long and rangy frame with a smooth offensive game. Handles it well with slippery drives and weaves through the D in the open floor. Likes to finish with runners and mid-range pull ups. Can hit an occasional three. Best basketball is clearly ahead of him.
Bryce Coleman Bryce Coleman 6'6" | SF Proviso East | 2023 State IL (St. Joseph)
Coleman was the highest ranked prospect at the event checking in at #4 overall in the 2023 class. The 6’4” big bodied guard didn’t shoot it great from deep although he did hit one three and a pull up. Most of his damage was done in the paint. Mauled on the glass for second chance points. Used his combination of strength and skill to score on drives with scoop shots, euro steps, and acrobatic finishes.
Sonny Williams Sonny Williams 6'1" | PG International Sports Academy | 2023 OH (Niles Notre Dame)
Williams is primed for a breakout season with Notre Dame. The 6’0” point guard is a slick handling lead guard that loves to get out in transition going coast to coast for scores.
Jalen Griffith Jalen Griffith 5'9" | PG Simeon | 2023 State IL (Simeon)
Griffith is a 5’9” point guard from the Wolverines that is one of the most exciting playmakers in the class. He has the ball on a string and is electric with it in tight spaces. At times he can be a little too fancy, but he has all the moves for sure. Got to the rim with his speed and crisp handles seemingly at will. Drilled an array of jumpers from mid-range and three. He is actually a very good shooter. Threw several passes in the event that no one else would even think to attempt and was successful. Bullet passes in transition on the money. Pesky defender that gets steals when locked in on that end of the floor.
Richard Barron Richard Barron 6'5" | SF St. Ignatius | 2023 State IL (St. Ignatius)
Barron was about as good as we have seen him in this setting. The 6’3” small forward is a strong bodied wing that got buckets from multiple levels. He was powerful with the rock off the bounce taking it to the hoop playing bully ball for scores. Ran the floor hard over and over where he was rewarded. His overall motor and physicality are what really stood out. Did hit a couple threes and we liked what he flashed defensively.
Daniel Johnson (Fenwick)
Johnson is an intriguing prospect at 6’4”. The small forward from Fenwick has a lot of projectability with his length and frame. Solid rebounder with a quick second jump. Struggled finishing in the paint throughout the event. Runs the floor well. Upside player to track!
Noah Campbell (Willowbrook)
Campbell is definitely small at 5’9”, but the tiny guard was very impactful in the games we saw. Shifty ball handler that had his man on skates more than once. His ball handling was what stood out the most as he got layups off it regularly. Knocked in a couple of threes as well.
Tylon Toliver (Lincoln Way East)
Toliver has elevated his stock with a strong summer with the Illinois T-Wolves. Most of his production in this event was on transition layups and a couple slashes. Strong bodied guard that can take a bump.
Lierre Collier (Marist)
In an event where it is hard to stand out defensively that is exactly what Collier did. Put his name on our radar with his in your face defense creating turnovers. Also had a shot block from his guard spot at 6’1”. Brings athleticism to the table on both ends of the floor.
DeAndre Craig DeAndre Craig 5'11" | PG Mt. Carmel | 2023 State IL (Mt. Carmel)
Craig is a 5’11” lead guard that is wiry and athletic. He was effective scoring in the open floor with his smooth handles including crossing his man while not breaking stride to the hoop. Also connected on a pair of threes.
Jeloni Johnson (Proviso East)
Johnson is a good sized guard at 6’3” with a sound pull up game from 15-18 feet that he can stretch out to three. Projectability with his length which he used getting a steal before taking it coast to coast.
Brock Harding

(Moline)
Harding is a player that we came away very impressed with. He was one of the best passers at the event making both the sound pass and others with flair. Had one no look dish along with several drive and kicks for threes. Feel for the game was impressive. Great instincts. Sets it up with good ball handling and has a solid looking shot that he hit from mid-range along with a corner three. Once when a defender flew at him on a shot fake he went right around him for a layup.
