Let us go ahead recap some games and look at some top prospects from Day 2 of Havoc in the Heartland.
Game 1: Indiana Game Select 15u (IN) vs Gateway Basketball Club 15u
Real solid and balanced play by Indiana Game Select. Cooper Farrall Cooper Farrall 6'5" | SF Culver Academy | 2023 State IN has continued to impress and show off his smoothness on the offense. A.J. Lux A.J. Lux 6'3" | SG Crown Point | 2023 State IN was probably the best player on the floor and splashed a few 3s. Underrated performance from lead guard Myles Yekich who was very aggressive on the drive and on defense with a couple of stops. – Final: Indiana Game Select 15u: 49, Gateway Basketball Club 15u: 52
Game 2: Indy EBC 17u (IN) vs H.I.T. Select 17u
EBC had trouble matching the size of Team H.I.T. Couple of standouts for me were Isaiah Lockhard and Donovan Pruitt. Lockhard is a pretty quick guard that has some slashing ability. Pruitt is a little smaller but can drive pretty well and showed that with an And1. Overall, EBC just did not play well as a team. – Final: Indy EBC 17u: 70 , H.I.T. Select 17u: 36
Game 3: INB Elite 2023 (IN) vs Gateway Basketball Club 15u
This game was close for the most part before Gateway ran away with it. The two stand out players for INB were Myles Colvin Myles Colvin 6'5" | SG Heritage Christian | 2023 State #51 Nation IN and Tyler Horton. Colvin is a bigger guard that has a ton of athleticism. He has a good amount of smoothness to his game and can knock down some shots. Horton is a long and lanky big that runs the floor well and can grab a ton of rebounds. – Final: INB Elite 2023: 46, Gateway Basketball Club 15u: 63
Game 4: Indiana Game Select 16u (IN) vs H.I.T 16u Select
Game Select was pretty much playing in front for most of the game. The top two players for that saw from them was Drew Adzia Drew Adzia 5'9" | PG Crown Point | 2022 State IN and Nick Mikash Nick Mikash 6'4" | SF Kankakee Valley | 2022 State IN . Both just can a do a ton on offense and both just know how to score and play the game. Also worth noting is big man Eric Price who, although he may be on the heavier side right now, has some great footwork and has a soft touch around the basket. – Final: Indiana Game Select 16u: 64, H.I.T 16u Select: 47
Game 5: Indiana Game Select 17u (IN) vs Kentucky Defenders 17u
Real tight game throughout. Player of the game for me was Logan Van Essen Logan Van Essen 6'0" | PG Illiana Christian | 2021 State IN . Smaller guard that is just real aggressive with his scoring. Real nice pullup jumper and can get to the rim. At the end Indiana Game was able to pull away late. Overall, almost every palyer on this roster put on a solid performance. – Final: Indiana Game Select 17u: 64, Kentucky Defenders 17u: 52
