As we hit college basketball season, we need to look back and see where some of the top recent prospects are today and how they are doing!
Williams is starting his third year at Wichita State. He red-shirted after missing the first month of the 24-25 season with a knee injury. As a red-shirt freshman last season TJ started 16 of 35 games averaging 8.7 pints a game with five boards a contest. Scored on 47 percent of his attempts.
Burton red-shirted his first year, played in just four games at South Dakota State his sophomore season before transferring out. Burton looks to now be at Cowley playing for the Tigers this year as a sophomore.
Joey red-shirted at Drake in 24-25 and then followed his coach to Iowa where Ben McCollum played Joey in 11 games last season. Joey was a deep bench part of the Elite Eight team for the Hawkeyes. Joey is back at Iowa for his red-shirt sophomore year.
Cobin has been a two year key reserve for Pitt State playing about eight minutes a game as a true frosh and then 17 minutes a game as a sophomore. Scored four points a game last year and had 34 assists against 15 turnovers. Is back at the school for a third season.
An invited walk-on to Kansas, Will has played in nine games off the deep bench for the Jayhawks in two years. Will enters his third year with KU this month.
After high school English went to Link Academy for a year and then joined Cobin at Pitt State. Last year as a true freshman English started all 30 games and played 32 minutes a night. English had a very impressive first year averaging 15 points, 5.4 assists and four rebounds a game shooting 88 percent at the foul line. English is back at Pitt State for another season.
King started 50 of 66 games for Missouri State his first two seasons. Shot 38 percent from the arc as a frosh on his way to a nine point per game season. Averaged 7.2 points a game last year for Missouri State along with a couple boards and a couple assists. Has since transferred to Illinois State for his junior year.
Kyden spent his first two years at Cowley Community College where he graduated and then went to Lincoln Memorial University, a division two school in Tennessee. Thompson averaged 8.5 points, five assists and 3.6 rebounds a game last season at Cowley.
Highlights
Tanner is a college football player in the Big Ten playing at Illinois. Tanner is a three year player at Illinois who just played in his 31st game last weekend. Tanner was in on 37 tackles last year as a defensive back.
Deaver spent his first two seasons at Rockhurst averaging two points a game as a frosh and then last year Deaver helped lead Rockhurst to the NCAA Division II Tournament and first ever GLVC Regular Season title as a starter. Averaged seven points a game last year. Now at Parkside University, a D2 school.
