Richard brings explosiveness to the Brooks backcourt. The 5-foot-11 guard is extremely quick off the bounce and has excellent elevation once he gets into the paint. His pull-up jumper is really consistent, too, and he's able to stop on a dime and shoot it over most of the defenders who are guarding him. Richard will certainly have an adjustment to the NEPSAC as only a freshman, but he'll get incredible reps this season and has a definite chance to start for Brooks.

Olasode has steadily improved his game over the last year or so, and it's paying dividends for him. The 6-foot-8 forward really surprised me with his passing vision out of the post during an open gym that I watched this past month, and he even stretched out his range to the three-point line on a couple of occasions. He has great size and strength, he runs the floor well, and he'll probably be the best rebounder on Brooks' squad this season. He's going to control the paint on both ends and should find a D3 fit when the time comes.

Boston does everything. The 6-foot-3 guard is a three-level scorer who has been shooting the lights out recently from three. He also has great athleticism on drives to the rim and is able to get up for easy dunks in both the half-court and transition. Defensively, he can guard tons of positions and rebounds his behind off—he has great timing and attacks the ball with ferocity.

It's all starting to finally come together for Rousmaniere. The 6-foot-7 forward looks stronger in the upper body, more athletic in terms of his hops at the rim, and more consistent as an outside shooter. He hit a bunch of threes during an open gym that I watched, and he looks more willing to use his body in the paint. This might be the year for Rousmaniere to finally get some heavy minutes for Brooks, especially as they're a bit thin in the front-court.

Gaskin has an intriguing set of skills and a nice athletic profile. The 6-foot-2 guard handles the rock effectively and uses his length and athleticism to convert some really nice extend finishes at the rim with both hands. He can occasionally knock down the three ball, too, and he's an able and willing passer who looks to kick the ball ahead in transition and make quick plays with the basketball. Gaskin strikes me as a kid who could get minutes this season and will potentially be a riser moving forward, especially if he continues to grow.

Catala showed some really impressive flashes during the open gym that I watched. The 6-foot-1 guard has good length and ball handling ability, and he's a relentless rim attacker who's not afraid to take contact. He does a good job making decisions in the paint, too, and can throw live-dribble passes in his sleep. Defensively, he fights hard to get around screens and does a good job using his length to contest shots and even protect the rim a bit. Catala could be a nice role player for Brooks this season and is going to surprise some people.

Cassamajor was injured during the Brooks open gym session that I watched, but I would expect him to be a key part of the squad this season. The 6-foot guard is a total bulldog with the ball in his hands and does an excellent job keeping his line to the rim on drives. He's a talented finisher, too, and is growing as a three-point marksman. Cassamajor will have a lot more offensive responsibility this season, so it'll be interesting to see what he's able to do on that end of the floor.
