If you have been following any of my work, you know I'm very high on this 2030 class. From top to bottom, there is a tremendous amount of quality depth from all over the state. Some of those were in the building competing against their peers. The events MVP was split between Major Howell and Nick Cannon, who will be one of the highest rated freshman in the country nationally once those rankings come out. Among other notable standouts recognized at the event were: Grant McGee, [player_tooltip player_id='3664900' first='Braylen' last='Weaks'], CJ Dial, [player_tooltip player_id='3666524' first='Sonny' last='Watkins'], and [player_tooltip player_id='3791858' first='Deuce' last='Turgeon']. Below are a few others (including Deuce that I thought stood out as well throughout the day.

I thought Kealen was one of the best 2030 prospects in the gym. An all-around two-way guard that impacts the game in multiple ways. One of (and the most attractive) ways he provides impact is scoring. The shooting is fluid and he already has college range. I saw him knock down multiple threes through numerous actions which made him tougher to guard. The athleticism has taken off which helped him provide a lot of balance to his game with the at the rim finishing. Kealen was productive in every game on both ends of the floor and was someone I thought improved his ranking.

It would be hard to find anyone in the gym regardless of class that plays as hard as Myles. A freakishly athletic and explosive player who lives above the rim. There is no instance where Myles either is not dunking or trying to dunk when the opportunity presents itself. He's improved in putting the ball on the floor and attacking closeouts and once the shooting improves, it will be scary. A lot of his shooting comes from 12-15 feet, and the touch is soft and impressive. Intense rebounder and if you told me that the best attribute of his game is defense, I wouldn't argue. He locks down smaller guards on the perimeter as well as being a rim protector without fouling. I've seen Myles from February to now and the improvement is drastic. As he gets more reps, the sky is the limit.

During my visit to Holly Springs, Tripp was out for that practice, but I highlighted him as a key piece to watch for them. My opinion enhanced even more after seeing him perform amongst his peers. Despite only being 6'0, Tripp is explosive and consistently touches the paint. If he's not finishing with either hand efficiently, he's able to finish above the rim with one or two hand flushes. His feel for the game is very high, understanding when to be aggressive and when to be a playmaker. All of this on top of being an A+ defender who has a nose for the ball and the physicality to guard bigger players. An underrated freshmen who I thought made a name for himself amongst a talented class.

Elite translatable skills are big checkpoints for college coaches and scouts when evaluating at any level. The one skill that every staff wants on their team is shooting. You can never have too much shooting, regardless of level you play at. Deuce is an ELITE shooter. Throughout the day, he was able to sink at least three threes in every game in a variety of ways. Deuce relocates and moves well without the ball to get the best look possible. It's not just three-point shooting, he showed he can knock down mid-range shots and utilize his frame to finish at the rim. Not enough people are talking about Deuce, but I think that will change after his performance throughout the day and what he is going to do on the court in his freshman year.

A bit of an unknown on my behalf but not anymore. Chris was on the perfect team to showcase his skillset. He is an incredible off ball mover and shooter. Chris was able to knock down multiple threes in each game I watched. Whether it was coming off screens and sinking them or on catch and shoot opportunities, he was highly effective in low usage situations. As teams tried to run him off the line, he showed he was not only a shooter with how well he finished around the rim. Not overly athletic but had no issues getting his shot off regardless of defender. Chris is a player to monitor in the Harnett County area.
