October 1-3 I attended the annual Border League. It is quickly becoming one of the premier fall events not only on the West Coast but in the country. The amount of elite players that were a part of the event was off the charts. And of course college coaches follow all the talent with them taking in the action nearly wall to wall standing room only games on some courts.

Here were the top PF's who shined when I viewed them

[player_tooltip player_id='2407095' first='Zion' last='Green'] AZ Compass Prep

A highly ranked power forward showed out on one of the days I attended. He scores it every way with high level dunks, ball fakes into tough drives, score with and-1 contact finishes, rip thrus, fall aways from mid-range and threes off the catch or pull. He rebounds well and will block shots and he is a very good passer for a forward.

[player_tooltip player_id='2420169' first='Ahmed' last='Nur'] Bella Vista Prep OTE

A bigger forward is highly skilled and athletic. He just verbally committed to Ole Miss last week and he will score with floaters, rip thrus, he is quick to the basket and perimeter jumpers from mid to the three point line. He rebounds well in his area and will block a shot.

[player_tooltip player_id='2953620' first='Godson' last='Okokoh'] Bella Vista Prep OTE

A newcomer for me is Canadian-born and can play and defend a few positions. He is very fluid and seems best suited as a face-up power forward. He moves well in space, rebounds the ball well and runs the floor. He will shoot it with threes off the catch, mid-range J's and dunks it easily.

[player_tooltip player_id='2948280' first='Achilles' last='Orji'] Dream City Christian EYBL (Pictured)

Another long forward is probably more of a four-man. He is an out of area rebounder and shot blocker and will score with mid-range jumpers, threes off the catch and dunks it effortlessly. He is getting better every year I have seen him and his best ball is ahead of him.

[player_tooltip player_id='2552733' first='Donovan' last='Palmer'] Sunnyslope

A power forward with real skill level and a plays off of Wabbington perfectly. He will cut off the ball to score, he has plus footwork with counter moves, he can occasionally step out and shoot the three or from mid-range, score with left or right hand layups and offensive rebound put backs.

[player_tooltip player_id='3790718' first='Egor' last='Ryabov'] Dream City Christian EYBL

Another newcomer by way of Russia. He is a highly skilled power forward with a pretty touch to the three point line. He can probably play some of either the five or four up front and will score with threes and dunks it easily. He also rebounds well in his area.

[player_tooltip player_id='3622192' first='Settimo' last='Yugu'] Bella Vista Prep EYBL

A fluid bigger power forward does a lot of little things. He is a defensive type who will block shots, rebound at a high level and defend wings and guards in space. He is a capable three point shooter, he will rip thru to the basket and flush it down on the break easily.

[player_tooltip player_id='2297437' first='Dylan' last='Vargas'] San Tan Charter

An athletic power forward is one of the steadier performers in each viewing of him. He seems to always be around the basket with tip-ins, offensive rebound put backs, he will score with lob dunks, mid-range jumpers and rip thrus to the rim. He gobbles up boards and runs the floor.
