Border league 2026: The Arizona Watchlist V:2

Arizona will have plenty of talent on the floor at the Border League, with players from across the state getting a chance to compete against some of the country's top programs. This watchlist highlights the Arizona players I'll be keeping an eye on in Las Vegas, along with the parts of their games that make each one worth watching.

He scores from 3 and the mid-range, pairing his shot-making ability with a quick first step to beat defenders off the dribble and attack the rim. Defensively, he gets back well in transition and provides protection at the basket, using his timing to challenge finishes, alter shots and come up with blocks.

A mobile big with the handle and shooting ability to operate on the perimeter and create 3s off the dribble. He can secure a rebound and lead the break himself, maintaining control while covering ground in the open floor. His ability to go coast to coast or read the defense and find an open teammate gives him value as both a scorer and a decision-maker in transition.

He pressures ball handlers relentlessly, forcing turnovers and turning his defense into offense. A threat in transition, he puts constant pressure on the rim with aggressive attacks and finishes well on his drives. He can also knock down open 3s and pursues rebounds with energy, crashing the offensive glass to create second-chance opportunities.

Shoots it at a high level off the catch from 3, pairing a picture-perfect release with repeatable mechanics. His ability to relocate into open space stands out, finding clean passing windows and putting himself in position to shoot as the ball arrives. He also makes sound decisions with the ball, keeping possessions moving when the shot isn't available.
