WI Prep Hoops Expo Team 9 and Team 11 Standouts

Upperclassmen from across Wisconsin converged at the Community First Champion Center in Appleton with a single mission: raise their profile, turn heads, and boost their state ranking. Teams 9 and 11 featured a compelling mix of relentless high-motor guards, versatile wings, and physical two-way competitors. Wilber arrived in Appleton following a strong summer run with Next Level Grind and immediately established himself as a high-value perimeter threat. The 6'2” wing dedicated himself to stretching the floor for Team 9, showcasing outstanding shot mechanics, a clean release, and a high, consistent arc on his jump shot. As a reliable spot-up shooter who punishes sagging defenses, Wilber projects as a breakout prospect to monitor during his junior campaign at Menominee Nation. Triggs provided an immediate spark for Team 9, bringing non-stop electricity to both ends of the floor. Offensively, he operated with a tight, shifty handle and displayed exceptional gears in transition. He pushed the tempo off defensive rebounds to drop on-time, on-target advance passes to breaking teammates. His open-court vision, speed, and two-way energy mark him as a dynamic backcourt contributor for Brown Deer heading into the season. Vosters set the tone for his squad through sheer motor, competitive grit, and high-level floor awareness. Standing at 5'9”, the Kimberly guard routinely played much bigger than his size, using his low center of gravity and physical toughness to absorb contact and disrupt opposing ball-handlers. Effortlessly impacting both ends of the floor, Vosters brought relentless energy to every possession and projects as a possible value backcourt piece for Kimberly in the coming season. Thorpe arrived at the expo with a clear directive: command the perimeter and make his presence felt defensively. The hard-nosed Milwaukee South prospect was proactive on the ball, dictating drive angles to opposing guards while using sharp instincts to jumping passing lanes. Offensively, Thorpe prioritized setting up teammates and orchestrating a smooth half-court attack, proving to be an unselfish lead guard with a pass-first mindset. Fresh off a productive summer run on the New Balance circuit with The [program_tooltip program_id='2076033' first='Wisconsin' last='Playmakers'], Kendhammer immediately proved he could compete at a high physical level. The 6'3” Holmen prospect showcased a versatile perimeter skill set, blending clean ball-handling with a willingness to mix it up in the paint. His commitment to crashing the glass against larger interior players makes him a well-rounded two-way asset for Holmen this winter. Spewer delivered a highly efficient, high-energy performance as a key contributor for Team 9. The 6'0” Nicolet guard welcomed every individual defensive challenge, bringing fearless energy regardless of the matchup. Offensively, he impressed evaluators with mature shot selection and steady floor vision—creating fluid, high-percentage opportunities for both himself and his teammates. Heading into his junior season, Spewer emerges as a backcourt prospect to monitor closely. A strong, physical 6'4” wing coming off a solid summer with Playmaker North, Witt showcased a highly dynamic offensive weapon set. Whether attacking off the bounce from the perimeter or establishing position on guard post-ups, his strength allowed him to overpower defenders in space. Witt was particularly lethal, crashing the glass from the weak side for second-chance opportunities, positioning himself for a big impact in his senior campaign at Washburn.
