This lefty sniper has crazy range, a tough fade away, he creates space for the entire offense and can heat up quickly. His confidence is through the roof, he will put up big numbers and don't be surprised to see another All CHSAA selection.

Kmetz will help form a deadly scoring combination between him and Wolf. He's a skilled scorer who can finish at the basket, hit shots from the perimeter, draw fouls and he possesses a great shot IQ. This team can rely on him, he knows the offense, understands his role and will be one of the more dangerous prospects in the league.

This heady guard will have a much bigger role than anticipated after Iona had a few players transfer out of the program. He makes the right play, has a great motor, he's unselfish and is always competing. Kevorkian can guard, he's tough, his teammates love him plus he can be relied in late moments.

Lapin has a few talented Senior he can lean on but a lot will be expected of the Junior point guard. He will be asked to set the table, get his shooters looks, take care of the ball and score when Iona needs it. There will be a few growing pains in such a tough spot in the league but he's ready for the challenge and could be a break out player in 2026-2027.

The monster offensive tackle continues to develop as an athlete and basketball players. He's getting more physical, more aggressive, he's moving bodies and rapidly improving. Mulaj is unique to the rest of the league, he will lead the Gaels in rebounds, they will ask him to protect the paint and even contribute offensively when given a favorable matchup.

There's a few hidden gems in this Iona Prep program but right now O'Meara is our favorite. He's a nice blend of size, scoring, shooting and potential. While the Junior gets comfortable in his role he should have a big year for Iona and could be used in a variety of ways to help them win games. Really like his upside and game.

Schmiegel is a solid guard from the Junior Varsity squad that will be up this season. He's expected to be back at some point during the year and will be a nice piece to have in the rotation. His presence adds another guy who can contribute when called upon, he will compete every practice and will be a crucial glue guy for the Gaels.
